by the WORST call I have ever seen in my life. This is no knee jerk reaction either. That was the worst call I personally have ever seen. That umpire needs to be doing high school games

One of the worst calls ever made, the last out!

It wasn't even that close...I feel so bad for that guy, seeing as how he got the last guy out and it it clear, without any doubt that he got robbed, MLB should make it right.

I sure hope they can change it. He earned it and some fat guy with a Goose Gossage mustache ruined it

I mean it wasn't even close, you can't even make a case for it being close and debatable.

He beat him by a step.

I think the umpire was nervous and just blew the call, he knew what happened right from the jump...you could see it on his face.

You don't even make that out call if the guy is obviously safe. That's like when an infielder makes and amazing play and it's a tie at first. Goes to the fielder. Unwritten rules of baseball. You must follow them.

What a dumbass call. Just plain dumbass.

I'm watching the Reds but from what I've heard its a BS call and the ump needs to be suspended/fined.

What is so crazy is his delayed call, the runner was a few steps of off 1st when he made the call...I'm still stunned...this guy will never live it down...ever.

How amazing is it that we have had 3 perfect games and a no-hitter this year, I'm counting as this as a perfect game...that is amazing.

MLB Network just showed it in slow motion and you could see the umpire about to signal out and then changing to safe.

Haha...heartbreaking for sure. That's the greatest individual accomplishment for a pitcher and it was ruined by a guy not even involved in it.

I might've gotten tossed about that. Gallaraga was very composed, I'll give that to him.

My 9-5 (more like 8-8) has me by the short and curlies right now. A lot of stuff to do in the warmer months. Travel, etc. I will be back strong in time for kick-off.

There's no might have to it for me. I would have been tossed from the game

I can't figure out what the umpire was looking at. Even in the live action replays, it just wasn't a hard call.

Screwing up a man's perfect game at the MLB level is grounds for a beating. There is zero sarcasm in this post. That umpire should have his ass beat. For real.

I wouldn't go that far, he deserves to be reprimanded for sure.

The look on the hitters face is hilarious, he knew he was out and by the looks of it was a little disappointed that the call went his way, I think even the Cleveland players are a little pissed.

Kind of ridiculous how umpiring has been so terrible in the past year.

I can understand the 50/50 calls, those are so tough to make in full speed, I couldn't do it but this call was absurd...it was a full step.

Joyce will get an ear full from here on out...I know he blew the call and all but I feel sorry for him, this one call will define his career and that is unfortunate.

Still a piss poor excuse of a call.

I personally can't see why the pitcher wouldn't get the benefit of the doubt on a close play in that spot.

But from no angle can i see where there is any doubt as to the result.
