As much as people are complaining...

Don't know why you're arguing I said I was confused but you're enjoy shooting your mouth off. I admitted that I got the positions wrong so move on. You still haven't answered if Stokes continues his lack of play versus quality competition then do you think Stokes could lose his position. I feel Yemi is coming on strong and Hall is playing better especially if he can keep hitting the mid range.

that's what happens when you argue, ask what else you got, then say you don't care what was said because you are right, all before being proven wrong and confused. Maybe you shouldn't fire without being prepared next time, especially if you don't want someone firing back.

And I don't know if Stokes will lose minutes or not, but he and Reese don't play the same positions. It's highly possible that CM tinkers with various lineups as we go along, but that isn't the same as a player losing his spot to a sub, which was your original comment that started the whole thing.

So you do the same thing (the whole strong forward bit) where you were completely wrong. I called you out and no big deal. I was wrong and you keep bringing up. Get passed it man. Stokes can lose his job just like any of them can. I still think he could lose significant minutes and possibly his job. I see Yemi earning more time and Hall had played better. I don't see Stokes improving as much. I hope he does and but if doesn't then I think we are developing good depth.

Size doesn't always determine position. Skill set does. I personally think Stokes is more of a 4 on the offensive end than Hall but that's not how it has been playing out. A quick little hint is CCM has his 4 man inbound the ball after made baskets. Hall almost always inbounds when the starters are on the floor. When Reese was on the floor he usually inbounded the ball. The guy playing center and the 2 wings usually turn and run after a made basket by the other team.

In fairness to some getting flamed, it's hard to tell at times who's playing what in this Martin system.
That's not a cut on Martin. I really don't think some of his JRs and SRs have enough on the floor IQ to know where they're supposed to be and what to do.
Enter Reese who seems to have a clue.
Maybe he'll be the spark that gets things working properly. (fingers crossed)

I definitely agree that a reasonable basketball IQ is required to play in the motion offense.

If you'd have told me Reese would play more minutes than stokes & golden against Xavier I'd have said we lost by 20.

He may be a very pleasant surprise.

Maybe, but I remember all the buzz about Miller after last years 1st Ole Miss game. I will stay guardedly optimistic.

We'll find out friday.
Like to see him get his rebounding going.

The Vols are respectable, and should do OK in the mediocre SEC, and might make the tournament, but it's hard to see the Vols beating good teams. The team doesn't have enough size or inside talent to play the with big boys--that's a big reason why they struggle to score. I watched the "highlights" of the Xavier game--and realized that they showed /every/ basket the Vols scored in the first half when they racking up 20-some points. Richardson had a good game.

Hard to see the Vols beat a good team?

You mean like 12-1 Wichita State? Yea we're their only loss.

Funny ain't it.
Before we played them, they were going to come in whip our ass and Martin was getting a coaching lesson.
We beat them, so now they're no good.

BTO warming up a plate of crow? Haha...jk

I absolutely am. Now I do need to see it consistently before I declare him as an every game contributor, but that first appearance was impressive.

He intrigues me very much, and a team desperate for some outside shooting he's gonna get his chance to see the floor.

Wouldn't it be nice.
According to Martin he can shoot from the glass to the perimeter.
Be great to have someone who can open it up for the bigun.

He didn't say wichita state was a bad team but I have a feeling his version of a good team is a level above Wichita state. Wichita state is not ranked and their biggest wins are against either Iowa or northern Iowa.

They were ranked though, we changed that.

Jimmy Dykes said something during the game that really rings true after this win....we were a made jumper away from beating Georgetown. If that shot goes down whats the perception?

We are 9-2, RPI probably in the 20s and im guessing in the top 25.

Everyone can complain about it's boring, or how our offense sucks, but the fact is we are winning games this way, and are in every game (except Okie State)

Preach it!

12-1, but I get your point. They are just barley outside according to today polls though fwiw.

I will probably make more mistakes than that lol.....Wichita state was a good win just not the level I think the other poster meant......I'm still wanting on a dancing around my living room kind of win.
