Ashli Babbitt’s Killer is a blm Militant

What did she do to warrant deadly force? If your answer is nothing, then it was murder. I'd guess one would have to advocate that criminal trespassing warrants deadly force. The castle law which covers your own property gives you a lot of freedom to use deadly force. However, if someone had video evidence of me shooting an unarmed person I will likely do jail time.
With the amount of people it can be argued he feared for his life or the lives he was charged with protecting. Not sure I buy that completely but the argument could be made.

No one could make that argument from what the video showed. There were swat officers outside that room with the crowd. They were not concerned.

I think forcefully entering the capital building during a joint session of congress is a bit of a step above criminal trespassing.
How so? Protesting in the people's house? Maybe it should be made treason to even question your elected officials. Is that how you think it should be?

JFC always with the absolutes. So you’re saying I should be able to walk straight into any government building, even the White House, maybe armed, maybe unarmed, and just start tearing the place up and yelling about how it’s the people’s building and walk out of there by myself with no consequences? Do you honestly believe that?

Let's talk about the particular infraction you have a problem with. They weren't armed, so take that ridiculous statement out. Yes, you should be able to confront your elected officials unarmed. If you damage property, you should be punished for it. You should not be killed for it.

Geez it’s almost like police in this country have a problem with shooting people for minor crimes. No ****, she shouldn’t have died. But if people are holding this person up as a martyr, don’t take what she did out of context to white wash the events surrounding her death. Isn’t this why people who “back the blue” no matter what get so upset that people like George Floyd or Trayvon Martin are publicly held up as martyrs and innocent victims? I’m pretty sure I learned a hell of a lot more about George Floyd and Trayvon Martin’s personal lives and why their killers shouldn’t be held responsible than why they were killed in the first place. This lady is no different.

No matter what you think about what you’re owed as a tax paying citizen, random people should not, and will never (now especially) be allowed to enter the capital building during a joint session of congress. It’s a security issue, not a rights issue. You still have plenty of avenues to reach out to your representatives. Email, letters, phone calls, town hall events. If he/she doesn’t listen to you, then elect new reps. Violently entering the capital was not the only means to confront our elected officials.

Your first paragraph demonstrates you have a problem with the woman's politics. Have the guts to say you're ok with her death because you hate her politics. Your second paragraph is just wrong on all accounts there's absolutely no problem with people protesting at the capitol. The problem comes with damage of property. It still doesn't warrant murder. I'd add from past practice, violence in protests have been considered the norm. Especially by one political party and the media.

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit is it? I said she didn’t deserve to die. I don’t agree with her politics, but I don’t celebrate her death.

Yes, protesting at the capital is fine when you aren’t forcing your way in or beating capital police to force your way in. After that, your whole “it was just a peaceful protest” excuse loses credibility. I had to hear about how “liberal run cities” were burning to the ground all summer. I’ve been to Portland and Minneapolis since then and guess what? I didn’t see a single burned down building and people were carrying on with their lives just fine. It’s almost like saying that was an attempt to discredit the reasons why people were peacefully protesting.

If you hold the right to protest so dear, then you should be angry with Ashley Babbitt and the others that forced their way into the capital building during a joint session of congress, for cheapening and diminishing that right. Just like looters and people who just want to destroy stuff diminish the protests that were unfolding around them in Portland or Minneapolis.

Actions have consequences. Sometimes those consequences are extreme and arbitrary. I don’t celebrate that, but it seems to be the norm now in our country.

Consequences should've been trespassing and damage of property. If you're not calling for the killer to be charged, you're wrong on this one. You absolutely have the right to protest at the Capitol.

Should I be able to confront my elected officials anywhere I see fit?

I wouldn't at their private property. Should a person be able to protest for their political beliefs if they're adverse to yours? I already know the answer to this question, I'm just asking to see if you'll be truthful about how you actually believe.

So I should be able to walk straight into the President's bedroom? That's not his private property.

As long as everyone involved stays lawful and peaceful, anyone should be able to protest whatever he'd like, political or not.

Sure it is. It's his residence at the time. Be honest bamagoober, you're too much of a pu$$y to admit that you hold no one's life at any value that disagrees with your view of how things should be.

She didn't deserve to die, if that's what you're asking. That doesn't make her killing unjustified.

For what other reason was she there? Sightseeing?
The killing was absolutely unjustified. It was blatant murder. Clear video evidence showed it. She was clearly there to protest her point.

That's not the same as private property. But if you want to split hairs: should I be able to walk into the Oval Office in order to gripe to the President? That's not the residential suite.

Untrue. As a Christian, I think every life is equally valuable. I suppose that I personally value the lives of those closest to me in a more active way, but that doesn't mean I devalue any other life. I believe in a person's intrinsic value and one's beliefs don't have any effect on that. I can't read scripture and come to any other conclusion.

I understand why she was there. When she crawled thru a busted out window in order to access an area that had been barricaded against the mob, she committed a felony. Could the capitol cop have tried to arrest her instead? Absolutely. And that certainly would have been better. But, in the end, he fired at the person at the head of a violent mob.

You're wrong, it's the president's residence it's where he lives.

You're posts and viewpoints do not give me confidence in your Christianity or Christianity in general for that matter. Of course that is entirely my opinion. If you think it's ok for law enforcement to murder people, I'll continue to regard you as a garbage human being. I'll continue to treat you as such until I can determine you're not.
