The capitol demonstrators were intending to "address" congress, and BTW that's been done several times in the past when demonstrators actually interrupted congressional proceedings - they were generally from the left, though. It makes a lot more sense for demonstrators to "address" those they disagree with. Remember the Trump rallies and the demonstrators attempting to silence and disrupt what he said because it didn't match their beliefs, but that was OK because the politics were reversed? Wouldn't it make more sense to force congress to listen than to burn down a CVS and loot as a message? If protestors were allowed to take over a police station and destroy it, what's the difference with the capitol - size? The message that should have come from this is for politicians to quit dividing the country ... they haven't.
Address them with zip ties. It's fun watching you guys try to pin the riot on the left, no rational person is buying it.
