Autocross take some actual driving skill to be good and fast at it. You can have a fast car in autocross but with out car control you are nothing.

Yep, great way to get to know your car, and push yourself. The thing that sucks is the Stock classes, which allows the use of Slick tires. You put slicks on any car and you shave two seconds off their time. Really sucks for the casual autocrosser.

Three of my friends are really into autocross and I went to a few events and watched them drive and I gained a new level of respect for their driving skills.

When that is the case, just push yourself and forget the competition. The dude in the rx8 on slicks and $5000 custom struts will always win that group.

Brad K. has been on fire as a of late and that's a pretty good pick I think. I think Hamlin will choke under the pressure, but if Hamlin does win that may open the flood gates for Hamlin to have some really successful years and win more than one championship.
