Ask Doozer about motorsports thread

It's you, Kenny Wallace, Darrel waltrip, and Michael waltrip in a sealed room together. I've handed you a roll of duct tape. Only three of you can walk out.

Mind you, the person bound and gagged will never appear on tv or radio again.

Who walks out?

Seems like Nascar wants the drivers to argue, fight, or speak their mind as long as it doesn't pertain to something Nascar or something they have had their hand in.

I took Stewart, Edwards, Biffle, and Stenhouse for my fantasy league today, I have Keselowski, Kurt Busch, Earnhardt Jr and Nemechek on the bench. Would you make any changes before race time in a few hours?

Always go with your gut.

Why do you think Bristol was so empty yesterday? Don't be snarky and mention the track changes.

I have my own ideas(out in the middle of nowhere, horrible traffic, parking), but America needs your input.

Wasn't the last round of track changes supposed to boost attendance? Guess that's not the issue.

The cost for a weekend is utterly ridiculous. 100.00 to camp in a tent all weekend? What a flipping joke.

Yeah. That's what I am thinking. It's such a commitment to go to a race as well. If I want to go to a basketball game I can just turn up an hour before. With a race I have to make a whole day or weekend of it.

Tickets prices need to be slashed in half. I had seats in Pearson that normally cost 93.00. I got value out of mine paying 65.00. And honestly, I could have paid far less, but I wanted my girlfriend to have a good viewing spot for her first race.

Camping needs to be cut in half too. Like I said, 100.00 to sleep in a tent? C'mon man. And if you want to pay less, you're walking. Remind me again how fun walking around Bristol is.

Hotels at 150.00 a night with a three night minimum seems pretty damn stupid too, but I don't know how business is for them. We got tossed a pair of pit passes late Wednesday night. I would have been willing to stay up there if we could have found a room for 100.00 bucks. Instead, I spent it on gas to drive back and forth both days.

Overall, NASCAR is still acting like this is 1999 when in reality it's 2013. People aren't coming back without making some consessions.

The track redesign is just an excuse that people use to cover up the real issue.

Nail on the head post. If NASCAR wants to increase sales things are going to have to change. I also think adding a race in Kentucky didn't help things. I know the tracks are different but when things are this expensive it makes people want to go the cheapest way out.
