Ask Doozer about motorsports thread

Hey, I own this race track, and attendance has gone down, should I repave it?

Older tracks produce better racing unless they are falling apart in my opopinion. Repaving tracks creates more speed and gives more grip for a few years but doesn't always mean better racing.

Wanna satisfy your racing cravings? Those three sites have you covered for pretty much anything you could wish for. Don't go to trackforum unless you want people yelling at for for liking racing.

U didn't ask me, but I'll say the Bodine truck wreck at Daytona. I was walking out the door to go to class when it happened. After it happened I missed class waiting to see if he lived it was so bad.

For me it was Dale Sr. I was 14 at the time. I knew that was a bad lick. I wanted to kill DW for all of his hooping and hollering, as his crappy, load-mouthed, brother won the race.

I had tons of family and friends call in and comfort me.

Live tv.

And then period.

Dan Wheldon on TV. Stan Fox in person. Was at the track but did not see Scott Brayton.

Period would be either Alex Zanardi or the F1 accident where the driver hit a course worker carrying a fire extinguisher and killed them both instantly. It's very eerie and hard to watch. The Zanardi pictures are hard to look at also.

Why is it NASCAR drivers don't seem to get the same respect other series drivers get?

Tom Pryce, in Kyalami I believe. That or Willy T running over a marshal in Vancouver is my choice.
