Sounds like he fits right in with the rest of UT's receivers. They usually wait until the game starts, to start dropping passes though. :banghead:

If he can jump that high there will definately be situations were he can come in quite handy. As for dropping the ball. No where to go but compared to last season. Go Asumnu! He's got heart.

Why do we continue to discuss a scout team wide receiver?

Because he worked his *ss off for Pearl. Think he deserves some discussion.

So did Ben Bosse. Where's his thread?

That's an awful shot, especially if you're the poor bastard with your hand cupping Stan's junk. Looks like a FG block (I hope), which seems a pretty ideal spot for Asumnu were he to make the team.

Because it's a great story. If these 4 and 5 start WR's worked half as hard as Stanley, there wouldn't have been a problem last year with dropped passes and not laying out forthe throws. He's only been doing football for a few short months, and I think he's worked hard enough to stay on the team. Further, he is a pure athlete with insane height and a crazy vertical. If he can get his hands better, he'll be an asset in jump ball situations, but irregardless, he'll be a huge asset on FG blocking. Even if he only blocks one or two, it might be worth the scholarship as close as our games usually are.

You know for darned sure that the opposing FG kicker would, at least, have Stan in the back of his mind. Look at that pic again: he's got a good 18-24 inches possible over the guy in the white jersey (who's arms are fully extended). That can make a world of difference, on long, low kicks especially.

is that a field goal block attempt? if so, why is meachem (#3) in there?

I read in the paper this morning where they were putting SA and Meachem both on the field goal blocking unit or were at least practicing with them there.

Now that's a great idea. Take an injury prone player and put him on the field goal block team as a leaper. Can't imagine that won't have a happy ending.

When I find a picture of Ben Bosse taking one to the nuts, I start one for him!

hatvol is all about bein negative....havin a bad day buddy? and y cant a guy jump for field goals just because he has been hurt in the past? he wasnt ever hurt last year....u put ur best players for the situation on the field no matter if it is special teams....he is there so hes obviously done somethin right....so turn that frown upside down hatvol...and ben bosse never so the court so it doesnt matter how hard he worked...stanley didnt have to work hard but he chose to...he coulda takin his talent for granted
