Not going to argue where they are all ranked right now but i will be very surprised if they end the season in the same order. I just have a hard tine thinking ole miss and miss st have 2 of the top 5 QBs in the league.

Talent wise he is on Par with Worley, .

No he isn't. Worley definitely has a better arm. Wallace fell into a good situation and got to play alot. He seems to be a heady player but physically... his 2* rating doesn't appear to be off target.

Pre-season lists like this sell copy and stir up controversy... they very seldom reflect the real pecking order and especially when so many teams have questions at the position.

I doubt any of the pre-season articles like this predicted Auburn to the NC game. And why would they? They were at the bottom of the SEC the year before... Surely they weren't any good or they wouldn't have been there, right?

Same applies to Worley and Dobbs if they get better play from the WR's.

These rankings don't mean anything. Worley could have a phenomenal senior year & be the top QB in the SEC. Anything is possible & especially when u wear the Power T playing for Tennessee.

I hope Worley goes all the way and doesn't look back but having said that I hope he is the bestter of the group.

I would have hated to be the one who did that piece.. there is soo much uncertainty at a lot of places regarding the qb position that you can't get a real handle on sec qb rankings. the fact that coker got top 5 says throw the list out.. he has done nothing to be ranked that high. he is going to bama so he has that ranking, it's not due to anything he has done or shown.
I hate when a guy gets ranked only on the team he is on rather than what he has accomplished.

the top 4 is pretty easy.. they are the only returning starters where we have some type of history to draw from. hutson mason also has game experience and in his 1st two starts avg over 300 years per game so at least we have some sample size with him even though it's small. maybe vol fans disagree, but I think dobbs is the better qb.. no offense meant to Worley, but he might not even be the starter midseason. the rest of the guys are the top 4 soo many questions that in reality it is very difficult to come up with any sec qb pecking order. even with that after reading some of the reasoning for their picks, a horrible piece by Athlon.

Put Prescott on the Vols and the O would look unbelievable this fall. Dude is a bulldozer that can run. Not a great thrower... but imagine if he had North, Croom, Malone, and Pearson at WR while Hurd was in the backfield with him.

If Worley gets the nod as the #1, he should get some confidence in himself. He isn't as bad as people make him out to be. He has the ability to be solid. He's not going to win the heisman but he has the ability to move the football...it's just the question "if" he will move the football.

If UT has to play three QB's next season, four wins may be the limit. UT desperately needs a QB to take the job and never look back. Someone needs to be the man! Worley will get the first shot at being the man.

P.O.T.D. Best post I've read on VolNation all day that doesn't involve cutezy nicknames for new basketball coach. :)

We should play Fergy this season and redshirt Worley so in 2015 we could still have Worley when the rest of the team is primed up!!!
I kid of course.
