Wonder if the Phillies will be playing a AAA team by the time the Braves play them. Giving their regulars rest and letting their 40 man call ups play a little. I can only hope.

Last year when the Braves played the Phillies in the final series, I think I remember Halladay not pitching at all while Oswalt and Lee going a couple of innings apiece in the same game. I'd expect them to do something similar next week to set up their rotation for the NLDS.

Cards basically have to run the table and hope for help while LaRussa micromanages their bullpen to death. Ain't gonna be easy as the Braves won't do themselves any favors and at least take the first two from the Nats.

I can only imagine. I pray to God you didn't go to the images section :lolabove:

I did, unfortunately. I was hoping for a quick image of Harvey Keitel with the quote embedded in it. I didn't stop to think about what I was searching for. All I can say is thank God I've been drinking.

The Phillies will be setting their rotation up, obviously, but most of their lineup is going to play most of the games. The Phillies will not exactly be disinterested, either -- I assume that they'd rather play St. Louis the Wild Card in the first round than Arizona or Milwaukee. You do not want to go into that Phillies series needing to win more than one game to clinch.

Hanson had soreness today and shut down. Not starting next week. Season in doubt, I would guess. Moylan has torn labrum and rotator cuff, will see Dr. Andrews.

Yay.

I've decided that there's something in the water at Turner Field. I've never seen a team as consistently snakebit injury wise as the Braves have been the past 2 Septembers.
