Let's go Mets! *CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP*

If the Mets come through and win then that is goo, but given the way the Braves have been playing, it might be best to take them out back and put them out of their misery. Old Yeller style... I know I don't want to see any more of this type of play.

Yea good point, I'd hate to just leave a playoff race. Much rather be watching other teams in October.

This team is going nowhere. The pitching staff has been decimated by injury, the bullpen is beginning to falter and the hitting was never the strength of this team. If this team does make the playoffs then the only hope of winning a series is if Hudson pitches every game or some injuries heal to 100% very quickly.

The double that Heyward hit is a perfect microcosm of the last two weeks . . . It was HR distance in just about every park in MLB, but tonight it was 19 feet up on a 20 foot wall.

I really don't know what else this team can do. I feel like they have the same problems on offense they have had all year. The only difference now is that the pitching is not as dominant with the tired arms and the injuries to Jurrjen and Hanson. Hopefully, the Mets can sneak one past the Cardinals today

I know ESPN loves covering the Red Sox, but there is a collapse occurring in Atlanta that is just as epic.

To an extent yes, but your pitching has been hurt alot by injuries. The Red Sox pitching just stinks and their payroll is much much more than yours.

In all fairness the red sox are bit with the injury bug with their starters as well.

I'll give you Buchholz.

Dice-K doesn't count because he sucks either way.

Lester is healthy yet somewhat inconsistant.

Beckett is healthy but not pitching like he did at the beginning of the year.

Lackey is healthy yet sucks.

Bedard is surprisingly healthy yet wildly inconsistent.

Wakefield is 93 years old.

Sure, and they very well may be using it as an excuse but the red sox are claiming that Beckett has yet to fully recover from injuring his ankle earlier this month and apparently lester is not 100% either. I don't care. The collapse could not happen to a more deserving franchise and fanbase. :)

The Braves have essentially lost two starts in Jurrjens and Hanson. If they had them, they are formidable but they don't have them. Hopefully Hanson will come back, but he may not need to. This team, injuries aside, has lost their steam. Not sure what they can do to turn it around.

As ugly as this has been, it could have been even worse if Wren had caved and given up Minor, Delgado or Teheran.

*The Braves are free, Free falllllinnnnn*

*Yeah there freeeeeee, Freee fallinnnnn.*

Good ole Tom Petty.
