Atlanta Braves II

Nah, up two games with five remaining. Braves just need to win the remaining series. Win tomorrow and two of three from the philly.

Tomorrow is key. Really need to win that one to avoid needing more than 1 against the Phillies.

Doesn't look good for the Braves. The Mets, Phillies and Nats have hurt the Braves this season. With Houston playing terrible the Cards have to be the favorites. Don't want to see the Braves lose the wild card! Even if they make the wild card, they are going to have a tough time in the playoffs. They need some "devine intervention" to help them out! GO BRAVES!

As dumb as I think Fredi is, I don't know enough about the locker room to be able to go there. It certainly is an interesting coincidence though.

You think Bobby blows a ten game lead in the wild card? Hell no. I can't say he's lost the locker room, but at no point as he "rallied" this team. I understand you believe managers make not much of an impact (I agree almost wholeheartedly), but he's done nothing. We put Chipper 2nd, the offense is looking above average for once, and for some damn reason, he puts him back at third. Just an exhibit A right there.

He does nothing to install confidence in the team.

There will be tons of blame to go around if this collapse is completed in the next few days, but I lay a whole lot of this at the feet of the two corner outfielders. They flat out have not shown up this year and have spent huge chunks of the season being automatic outs.

That and pitching injuries. I don't think they blow it with Hanson and JJ healthy.

I understand Jason has sucked the first five months of the season, but he has probably been our best hitter this September. He's got a .392 OBP in September.

Prado. Don't get me started. I'm going to get flamed, but I hope Atlanta trades him. He's a great guy and teammate, but he's a below average left fielder.

Heyward's hit .290 with a .410 OBP and an .862 OPS in the last two weeks. Whatever's caused this collapse, it hasn't been him.

Prado's stat line since returning from the DL.

.249/.290/.339, .629 OPS...from your #2 hitter.
