The only way I'd let a 21 year old throw 120 pitches is if the pennant was on the line and I hated everyone in the bullpen.
That's true. He's still early in his career and that's a lot more than he's ever gone before. It's 7-0.. What's the point? The ironic thing is if it were a close game, he would have taken the guy who was dominating out.

...and Beachy wasn't wrecking his elbow by snapping off 40-50 insane curveballs.
McCann nailed it in the post game show. It's not pitch count as much as it is stressful pitches. And Beachy had zero 3-ball counts tonight.
Of course I go to work and miss the game.
