Thinking about it though...Bringing him back for two more years might not be the worse idea, considering the other options. Ramos is having a career year, and will cost a pick (I think) and wieters can't stay healthy and hasn't hit much

What do you have to give up tho? Mac is on his way down and we aren't winning any time soon. If you bring him back without paying his high salary and not mortgaging a top prospect I could possibly get behind it. But I don't know what to do with the catcher position. We seem screwed.

I would rather do this than give up top prospects for Lucroy, and pay him a huge amount of money.... Which would be for more years.

Bring McCann back. What do we have in catching? Flowers has played decent at times but he's on a one year deal. A.J. will retire & should.

We have no replacement catcher in the minors anytime soon. Get Brian back here while he still has 2-3 more decent years left before he seriously declines.

I'd take getting him back here in a hearbeat but we can't give up too much in return. Maybe a lower-middle level prospect or two plus maybe somebody on the current MLB roster + possibly some cash but nothing more.

Unimportant detail, but Flowers is on a 2-yr deal.

Important detail. I hope it clears up, or the rains/storms hold off. Me and my girls are here in the ATL, gonna be choppin' at The Ted tonight.

I was saying that would be the max. We could get him back here for less probably but I was saying that would be the maximum amount of players + the cash.
The cash part is not happening. The Braves would be the ones taking on a contract.

Just heard two guys thinking It was bizarre that the Braves would go after Kemp.

I don't follow them at all. Olivera is a PR problem, dead money and unproven. I know Kemp is overpaid and his defense is weak, but where's the downside?

@Joelsherman1: Source describes Kemp from #Padres to #Braves for Olivera as "getting closer." Says would just be those 2 in deal
