Looks like we are paying about 8.5 mil a year for Kemp after you figure the swap of contracts what the Padres are sending us and what the Dodgers are still paying. Not bad at all IMO

FYI, #Braves aren't paying Kemp $8.5M per, they're paying about $18M per. $8.5M is amount ABOVE $28.5M they owed Olivera avg'd over 3 yrs

James Shields for Yaisel Puig will make me question everything about Andrew Friedman

Mac, Frenchie, and Kemp will sell tickets.

In 2009, maybe. W's will put asses in seats more so than retreads/has beens. I could be on the minority here but those 3 do not get my motor humming.

I am just not sure which direction the organization is going.

It will sell tickets to the sheep. Actual fans understand the minors chips and rebuilding process.

As far as the direction of the organization, I just told you what the plan for Kemp and Mac is. They haven't given up anything so the rest is business as usual.

Kemp's awful defensively but if he put up 30 homers and league average OBP I'll take it

Probably not going to happen re: OBP, BUT if the guys in front of him get on and he hits 30 dongs it won't matter.

FTR, I do think Coppy made lemonade but i wish we wouldn't have been in the situation to begin with.

No we definitely screwed up the Wood/Peraza package. I never liked Hector to begin with. But we then turned that mistake into a decent player that can help next year.

I'd rather go get BMac, then overpay Ramos after a career year or Wieters. Both aren't the most durable either.

Jace has an .831 OPS since coming up and plays really solid. He needs to play everyday.

Not when he is that bad versus lefties. He is streaky for sure....

I'm willing to let him continue this year since we got nothing to lose. I'm not sure he'll ever be a 3 WAR player but I say give him everyday bats anyways

I don't think he is a problem, or shouldn't play, just think he is best as he has been used as of late. All over the field, and not versus LHP
