I don't agree. The Pro Bowl is awful but if they put forth this level of (non) effort then then literally every play would be a touchdown. At least they tackle.

1. MLB ASG
2. NHL ASG
3. Any random sports event of elementary school kids
4. Pro Bowl
5. NBA ASG

This old man is, of course, appalled at the idea.

At the very least they would desperately need to take a cue from hockey and use the gimmicky overtime in the regular season only and go back to the real deal in the postseason. Don't think MLB is smart enough to do that though.

One rule change I would be ok with- that I've never seen mentioned- is skipping the pitchers spot in the order in extra innings.

I'm just not sure what this fixes. What percentage of games go to extra innings, 5-10 percent? What percentage of those go past 11 or 12 innings? The answer is to figure out a way to shorten all the games, not just a very small percentage.

Man this DeMarcus Cousins trade stuff is crazy.

Also if the package is Buddy Hield and two first round picks for Cousins Vivek should lose ownership of his team

Vivek is an awful owner but I don't doubt that's what the market is for Cousins now. No decent team wants to add him and no bottom feeder wants to make a Nets-level trade.

I gotta believe a team would be willing to do more. If I'm Boston I'd trade Smart and next year Brooklyn pick and that's better than the Pels

Boston is already in a great situation. There's no way I'd fsck it up to roll the dice on whether Boogie suddenly feels like becoming a team player.

They missed the window to trade him. By the time they'd finally seen enough to give up on ever making it work with him, the rest of the league had too.
