Apparently I missed this from last week. How do we feel about this?
FEB. 8: Another rule change being weighed by Major League Baseball is more radical and would put a runner on second base at the onset of extra innings, reports Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports. The league is planning to test the scenario in the lowest levels of the minor leagues
This old man is, of course, appalled at the idea.
At the very least they would desperately need to take a cue from hockey and use the gimmicky overtime in the regular season only and go back to the real deal in the postseason. Don't think MLB is smart enough to do that though.
One rule change I would be ok with- that I've never seen mentioned- is skipping the pitchers spot in the order in extra innings.
Man this DeMarcus Cousins trade stuff is crazy.
Also if the package is Buddy Hield and two first round picks for Cousins Vivek should lose ownership of his team
Vivek is an awful owner but I don't doubt that's what the market is for Cousins now. No decent team wants to add him and no bottom feeder wants to make a Nets-level trade.
