Putting this game on Snitker. Not an Adonis fan at all but he is better than Chase and Boni. No reason to take out Jace and Adonis for those two bums.

C.B. Bucknor is right up there with Joe West, Angel Hernandez, and Bob Davidson (now retired) for worst umpire in the league.

Strike zone was bad/inconsistent all night, and d'Arnaud missed that ball by at least a foot.

The sad thing is everybody acknowledges how bad Bucknor is, but he's in zero danger of losing his job.

Two Bums for two Bums. Blame Coppy, or Liberty Media. We have way too many "bench" players playing big roles. I don't know if it's a money issue or not. I'd guess so, because surely Coppy would've inked Pagan by now. Either way, way too many holes on this team.

It isn't because they aren't truly trying to compete this year while also duping the casual fan into thinking they are.

At least we didn't give Rich Hill $48M. Good Lord what a waste that is going to be.

Would be starting 2b and same crappy bench

I guess. I thought the plan was to platoon with Jace. I still think they were gonna get phillips anyways but who knows. Either way, I don't understand why Snitker is using the bench so much and double switching in the 6th or 7th inning.

Although we should remember the Rodriguez injury has put a dent on this team.

Rodriguez wasn't gonna move the needle much bro. We need real players and to stop trying to catch lightning in a bottle. As we are now, 3/5ths of our infield is average (on their best day) to below average on any given day. And that's not including Swanson, who has been very slow out of the gate. We need to solve 2nd, 3rd and catcher before we are ready to truly compete. Maybe Ozzie can lock up 2nd, but it may take a while. Hopefully Kemp can be our power corner for a while, cause we neee him in the worst way. But still need some long term solutions there, and I'm not sold on the bats in the system.

I'm not ready to blow the system and the rebuild up. It takes three-four years (Braves started in 2015) before you can truly compete when you do a full organizational rebuild like Hart and Coppy did. I am hoping that the team can compete for a playoff spot next year.

Lmao.. we need to solve every infield position now if we want to contend!!!

*glances around NL depth charts*

Yeah!!

FTR I don't want to blow it up. That would be dumb.

I'm not so sure it will be next year that we will compete for a playoff spot. We haven't even mentioned our bullpen, and rotation. Seems that we have a surplus of 3-5 starters when we need 1s and 2s. Any word on if the pay role is going to increase? Need some quality additions via free agency and a few of our homegrowns to pop off in a big way. Or Liberty Media to sell the team.

I think if you add Albies and improve third base you got a good playoff caliber lineup if Ozzie and Dansby live up to their potential. Pitching wise I think Soroka and Allard are front of the line pitchers and with how aggressively they have pushed them I could see them in Atlanta next year.

Or you trade for a Chris Archer or Jose Quintana, hope Folty continues to improve and pitch like he did last night and then one of Blair/Wisler/Sims pans out.
