Bryce Harper is probably the best player I have seen since Ken Griffey Jr.

He may even be better at this point in his career!

First inning of the g braves was hopefully some foreshadowing...

Albies led off with a double. Moved to third on a infield grounder. Scored easily on a medium fly by Kemp to right. Very easy run.

Wisler was throwing BP though... Rochester was hitting every thing hard. Avery made a diving catch in center, Ruiz somehow snagged three rockets down the line, and Kazmar handled some rockets at short as well... otherwise Wisler would have given up four of five more runs.

Palka's and Garver's HRs were absolute bombs. Kemp didn't even move. He looked good in left, btw... ran without an issue.

Gotta move Dansby down in the order. Not saying he should be demoted yet but you can't have him batting 2nd at present. Maybe an eventual demotion is AAA isn't the worst thing. We kind of forget he totally skipped that level.

Move him down for what?

Us to compete? Adonis Garcia to move up? Cmon. He's in the best possible spot in the lineup. In front of Freddie is the catbird seat. If he moves anywhere, it's Gwinnett. And in case you haven't noticed, all our eggs are in that basket. We don't even have a reasonable alternative at SS unless they want to let my man Johan Camargo loose.

Come on now, bro. You move him down to take the pressure off. He is a baby, probably feeling the weight and pressing. As i said yesterday, drop him and move Markadick up. Kemp to cleanup. I don't know about you but I'm tired of seeing Freddie drop dong with no one on the bags. It's been that way for years. Let him get comfortable, and move him back up. You can stunt development by asking too much. We need someone in the "catbird seat" that ain't flailing at ever outside pitch.

You could switch Brandon and Dansby but I'd give it some time. We've played what 14 games? Still early. Also even though he's striking out a lot he's making pretty solid contact (IMO at least)

He will not get more pitches to hit anywhere else in the lineup besides in front of Freddie. Moving him elsewhere will actually hurt him.

Also going lefty lefty lefty to open and righty x 5 to close is level A dumbasery for lineup construction

Overrated argument. Move Kemp to third if you have to. You can't have someone with an OBP of .159 in the 2 hole. It doesn't matter if you are seeing good pitches if you can't hit the damn thing. I don't know Ender, Markadick, Freeman's splits but I'd say that aren't anywhere near as profound as someone like Jace. They hit and get on, that's what we need in front of Freeman. Lineup construction is an inexact science when you got 4 or 5 guys who can actually hit a baseball. I'm making chicken salad here, work with me.
