I didn't think that was possible in the state of TN. And Brown's right, it's not really anything special, until you're eating there at 3:00 am when the local strip club closes and the "talent" rolls in.

There used to be a ton of Perkins restaurants in the Nashville area. Friend of mine from college had been a manager of one.

I have no problem with IHOP pancakes but there's the rest of their menu is indifferent. There's one close enough to my house that I could walk to it (across the street from the Popeye's) but I haven't eaten there in three or four years, which I guess says it all. I'm a Waffle House man.

I'm a Denny's fan but it's been 20 years since I lived close enough to one to enjoy regularly. I prefer Waffle House to Denny's for breakfast, but Denny's any other time of the day.

The Huddle House southern smothered biscuit platter stomps just about everything though. It's an open-faced biscuit topped with sausage or bacon, then hash browns, then sausage gravy, then cheese, then scrambled eggs. Glorious. I tried making it one morning at home and it dirtied every pan in my kitchen but it was the best breakfast I've ever cooked.

(not the one I cooked, obviously)
