I only enjoy big name cards

I used to watch it all the time. It's pretty much sucked for the last 20 years. All this hype over the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is ridiculous. They should've fought years ago.

Only reason I'm bringing this up is some boxing big shot said this fight will bring boxing back, but I think nothing will ever do that.

If you follow anything besides the heavyweight division, it hasn't sucked at all.

For those of us who grew up in the old days, anything other than heavyweights is like watching slap and tickle in the schoolyard. But the main reason I quit watching boxing was the rise of the pay per view.

Good call, I do prefer the heavyweights. Heavyweights have sucked since Buster Douglas knocked out Tyson.

Oh, no doubt, boxing is never as exciting as when the heavyweight division is good but there have been some of the greatest trilogies of fights, much less single bouts, within the last 20 years.

(Not saying that they're haven't been great fighters in the lower weight classes. Just that, if you grew up when Ali and Foreman and Frazier were alive, part of the spectacle was the sheer size of those guys beating the hell out of each other.)

I always hear that one of the things my generation missed out on was when boxing was one of the biggest things in the world.

I only got to see the very end of it, but it was still pretty cool. Heavyweight title fights for free on ABC's Wide World of Sports on Saturday afternoon. It was a different world.

Also, for those that don't go to the RF, we're recruiting Evander Holyfield's son and he is very big on UT. 4* RB

Agree. I used to pay when they first started doing it. Seems like it was around $20 or $25 for a Tyson fight.

I can't imagine what this next fight will cost
