Neyland apparently looks bigger from the outside than almost every other stadium in America. Because the field is at ground level and it goes up forever on top of that. I've been told you can drive right by Michigan Stadium, for example, and barely realize that it's there.
Not that Neyland isn't the greatest thing of all time but the reason that you can do that with Michigan's stadium is because you walk in at ground level and you are 3/4 up the steps. Most of the stadium is dug out down below.
