I'm not on the BJ at leadoff wagon. We have to find ways to get people on base for Justin Upton.

BJ's career OBP is .335 and was .298 last year. He should not be batting leadoff for anyone.

Considering I watched my team run out Zack Cozart and Drew Stubbs as leadoff last year I know how low OBP guys in the leadoff spot can hamstring an offense.

Well if you want OBP, you came to the wrong team. We should settle for Simmons seeing a lot of pitches.

What does Michael Bourn have to do with anything? Did anyone bring him up before you?

I apologize for pointing something out about the idea of putting BJ in the leadoff spot and how it doesn't make sense. Not a knock on BJ the player, just a knock on him being used as Leadoff.

This, though I'm not sure there are many better option on their roster though. Pretty much the whole team is ~330 OBP. I mean Simmons who has also batted leadoff is only a career .319, granted that is with only a couple of years in the

I get why Black Jesus is siting tonight. Lefty-lefty match up and he is scuffing but if he is going to be our cornerstone.. Got to let him work through it at some point and take those training wheels off.

Fredi is claiming that it's just to get Reed some ABs. Not sure how truthful that is though.

I wasn't really arguing,just saying that when everyone wanted us to get a leadoff hitter, it really didn't take our offense to the next level.
