I'm not going to do a big baseball-reference dive or anything, but I'm gonna guess that Reed Johnson's worst year was probably better than Jordan Schafer's best year. When you throw in the option of putting Gattis in LF, there's no reason Schafer should see the field other than as a situational replacement late in games. Other than one PED-fueled season in A ball, Schafer has been terrible for every bit of his pro career.

Yep. He would have been a round one guy if it weren't for Tommy John, and maybe those are related.
I wonder where he got drafted out of high school or if he told teams he was for sure going to college. Pretty sure he won POTY in NC his senior year.
Lol I'm not a Schafer fan Verc. But I like his speed and his glove. He isn't that horrible. But I agree with you about 77%.
