You would think by now that the professional baseball men would have figured out that the "super fast guy who can't hit" thing never works out. Putting a guy like Hamilton in front of Joey Votto is amazingly dumb.

I may owe little Dee Gordon an apology. Hah Hamilton is worse

lol when I lived in downtown Chattnooga I had season tickets for the Lookouts, I swore to everyone in my section that Jerry Sands and Dee Gordon would be the next big stars in LA.

Reg/AV...saw that JMM announced his going pro today. Seems like a big mistake to me.

Kinda sad when your backup is better. I think he is what he is, very athletic, but inefficient. Not gonna help himself much next year, so I guess he decided to go. Good luck, they will still be pretty good, and they are still deep in the post

Mike Minor's line from his AA start was
2 IP 3 ER. 5 K 1 HR Allowed

Gavin Floyd's was
1.1 IP 2 ER 2 BB 0 K 1 HR Allowed

I posted in the UNC thread that I'll believe he's gone once he signs with an agent. Until then, the opportunity to return remains. Certainly a poor decision, IMO, as he's looking like a 2nd round pick. He should return and work more on his game and get his stock built back up some, but either way it's not a crippling blow to next year's team.

Also Reg, how did you do on the felt today?

No bueno. It was a satellite to another, payout tournament, I think probably 9-10 players could have won seats. I had some good hands early, was up to $4600 in chips (started with $3000) but had AK suited on a 5-5-10-K board that still had a flush draw as well, put a guy all-in and of course, he had a A-5, so that crippled me. My last hand I had AJ suited, $650 remaining on $100/$200 blinds so I went all-in, got called with JJ and flop went Q-Q-J and that was that.

Ouch, how long did you last?

The guy that took most of my chips with trip 5's should have already been out, but I screwed up. I was on the button, or maybe one behind with K2 spades. Flop came with three more spades and I bet, and bet too big, instead of slow-playing. He folded and didn't show of course, but he told me I could have gotten more chips from him with a check.

Lol smh. Let them hang themselves!

I know. I was kicking myself in the ass immediately. I love the slow play and try to employ it often, but I got too excited with the monster flop. First hold'em I'd played in I don't know how long. Probably since the same event last year.
