Because everyone from Tennessee must root for the Titans?

I don't agree with people that feel that way either but I also don't see anything wrong with being a Titans fan just because the team has only been here 15 years and I wasn't an Oilers fan first.

Good to see so many admit it, especially nbaker...

I think a lot of the frustration with colts fans in Tennessee, Colts are in the titans division... which they owned us over the years. For a long while Vols had tons of players in the NFL... but of course they only follow the most successful (in the nfl). It wouldn't be such a big deal if they weren't in the same division, i just hope to god he gets out of the AFC-south.

I would love to see the cluster-**** if he came to Tennessee, i doubt it will happen but it would be hilarious.

the bama fans referenced became fans when the team was good. If you started following the Colts when PM went there it's pretty much the opposite

WORST EXCUSE EVER.

98- 3-13
99- 13-3
00- 10-6
01- 6-10
02- 10-6

last year they didnt win 12+ games

in 98, 95% of "peyton/colt" fans may have watched 1 or 2 games caught the rest on espn. three season 10+ wins in the first 5 years.... yeah real tough...

maybe you "colts" fans think thats tough.... but trust me thats pretty good.

ok, so you set through one bad season.... if the colts went 3-13 the next 2 years... 99% of you guys would be wearing titan blue.

again wrong.

1) What guarantee was there that the COlts would get better?

2) The comments made about UT (and PM) by people like Fisher and George would have kept me from ever cheering for the tittans. I will always cheer against them even if I quit following the NFL altogether

i would understand 3 season, maybe even 2 bad ones... but its not hard to regain interest after ONE bad season for a 13-3 season...

the poll proves that people are not "fans".

I watched every game in 1998 (even went to the one in the GA Dome following the SECCG). If I was going to lose interest it would have happened way before Dec

there is only one real true Tennessee team and it's not in Nashville

Well, considering Nashville is the capital of TN, and geographically it's the major city that is most central to the state, I would think a Nashville team would be the only real true "Tennessee" team.

Especially considering the number of other TN college teams in the state versus the number of TN pro teams in the state.

I'm not sayin'. I'm just sayin'.

Vols have been there for 100+ years of rich history and are never leaving. Hopefully the Titans won't ever leave but they could, and they've only been there 15 years. Either way, if it's "true" TN to you, who gives an F? I don't know why Titans and Colts fans go after each other on silly stuff like this. Just say each others' teams suck and be done with it like normal fans. Questioning fan status because someone likes a team for a player (and the like) is just stupid.

What are you even talking about? Just making **** up now huh?

Colts fans in TN are on the same level as Bama fans in TN.

This is so stupid. The Colts fans in Tennessee support the Colts because of their ties to UT football (Peyton Manning). If somebody in Lewisburg, TN is rooting for Bama because of Don'ta Hightower, I would say that's the same thing, but most follow Bama because Bama is good...not because of the Tennessean presence on their squad.

It is not stupid at all. Stupid is being a bandwagon fan on a pro team because one player played for your college team.

Telling people they can't justifiably root for a team because of a player is stupid. In fact, policing other people's fanhood in general is the ultimate stupid.

My 2 cents:

If you jump off a team's bandwagon solely because of your favorite player leaving then you weren't really as much a fan of the actual franchise as you were of the player that happened to be playing for them.

If you jump off a team's bandwagon just because of your favorite player leaving then you really aren't a fan of the franchise in the first place, rathar moreso just the player you were interested in that was playing for them.

I'm not a "true" Colts fan. I'm the first to admit it. I'm a Peyton Manning fan, and I root for him just as much as I do any team. In that sense, I am a "true fan". Not a bandwagon fan. Rooting for a team because of a player does not make you "bandwagon".

The only reason you're here is your mad that your team has suffered at the hands of the Colts for like 9 of the past 11 years. You don't hate Peyton Manning fans. You hate losing.

Bull****.

I dislike Manning because he is an arrogant jerk. I dislike that people from TN are colts fans because they are stupid bangwagonners who follow a QB who was a choke artist for us and one in the pros as well.

And the Colts did not sweep the Titans every year either.
