Aubrey Huff Banned From Giants Reunion

How's that? You can't clarify, so you just deflect off my hypothetic conjecture. Well, Antifa really does that, so maybe not a good hypothetical.

What is it then? Do we only have freedom of speech when it pertains to government oppression? Isn't that what @volfanhill said in post #39?

In the real world, he is no longer an employee of the Giants organization, so they are not legally discriminating against him for uninviting him. But, it is bad form to do so for political beliefs when only celebrating a championship team. and they are setting a bad tone for the organization. What if their ace pitcher supported Trump. would they trade him?

I can clarify, it'd just be useless. Proceed with the indomitable "hypothetic conjecture".

So if you came out as homosexual you could be fired? If you’re a guy and decided you wanted to be identified as a woman you could fired? If you’re employer found out you were atheist or a Muslim you could be fired?
Religion has federally protected status so no you can’t be fired for that. Sexuality is not federally protected, it is in some states, so you can be fired for that.

Probably. I doubt you'd make any sense. You couldn't even comprehend what I was doing with my post. Which was a jab at Volfanhill. Pretty sure he got it.

I'm certain he sees beating people for their espoused opinions as a false equivalency with choosing to peacefully disassociate from people for their espoused opinions.

No. This would not get you fired.

Telling the truth that there's only 2 genders would.
Telling a man to get out of the womens bathroom would.

That’s an unfortunate consequence of making posts that don’t make any damn sense.

So, how does it work. the way you present it he martyrs himself for invoking the 1A for being uninvited for his political support of Trump. and that is wrong as you say. But, it's OK that they invoke the 1A to ban him.

Yes because it is their organization. They don't need a reason.

Why does he invoke the 1A when the Giants aren't a government organization.

It's a dumb move on their part but to martyr himself as some champion for the 1A is beyond retarded.
You and I both know he simply stated the Giants disinvited him because he was exercising his first Amendment rights which is 100% factually correct and can't be debated. He's making a legitimate point, it's the same as some team not inviting a team member because they voiced support for Obama or Clinton. It's their choice but it's just not right and is a slap in the face of the spirit of this nation.

Nothing really to see here. If the Giants organization doesn’t want him at reunion because of his political beliefs then they should have the right not to invite him.

If an organization doesn’t want to employee Colin Kaepernick because of his political beliefs then they should have that right.

Kaepernick has the ability to hurt the bottom line of a team , or even the league. I doubt that the other guy going to a reunion would.

Kaepernick isn’t shunned simply because of his beliefs, he’s not that great of a player. He’s had opportunities but declined because he thinks he’s worth more. Even when teams go out of their way to give him a workout he thinks he can make last minute changes and have those who are going out of their way to give him a shot feel like he’s doing them a favor.

Let's be honest, the guy is an idiot to begin with.

I don’t agree with not inviting people because they are idiots. In the end, it is usually a good show.

I have never heard of the baseball player, so I don't know what he did or said. If he was a member of the team, he should be invited, unless he is in prison.

California must change, and will change. Antifa will be defeated. Trumpers out in California must rally and get out to vote, and turn Cali red.
Was this a serious post? Trump could lose California by 4.5 million votes. No exaggeration. He probably won't get 30%.

I don’t like Colin Kaepernick. I think he is a disgusting human being. The only reason he doesn’t have a job in the NFL is because of his political beliefs and I am ok with that. If I believe that an organization has the right not to hire Kaepernick based on his political beliefs then I believe an organization has a right not to invite an individual to a reunion based on their beliefs.

It comes down to the consumer (fans) when Kaepernick was in the NFL and kneeled the consumer turned off their televisions and didn’t buy tickets and this is why Kaepernick isn’t in league. If the consumers don’t agree with the Giants decision then they will turn their television off and not buy tickets. It’s that simple.

He was part of the club, he should be invited back. If they don't like his politics, then don't talk politics with him. In the end, it's about civility, and the team is being uncivil.
exactly - I dont recall if the Pistons or Bulls had a reunion but if so was Rodman invited ?

It's a slap in the face for a private franchise to choose who represents them based on public image?
