Their boards are super entertaining right now. So similar to us. They are tracking planes, heard some rumor about some “team meeting” that supposedly happened at some off campus site, they are trying to use their connections to figure out what it is.

Their latest thread has them talking about pursuing Gundy 😂, should we tell them how that’s going to turn out?

Auburn would have to fork out a ton of money to get Stoops and I am not sure he would want that job. The expectations at Auburn compared to UK are night and day.

Auburn is almost like the anti-Kentucky. At Kentucky, you can coast along with a decade with 6- and 7- win seasons and they'll be happy. At Auburn, they are ready to fire you in Year 1 if you aren't winning 9 games. I don't know that there's any fan / donor base in the country that is as quick to boot coaches as Auburn.

Stoops probably wants to be somewhere he might be able to win big. He knows there’s limits at Ky. Plus, it will be a huge payday so who cares if he bombs out. He’d be set for life at that point

Stoops would be an idiot to even entertain the Auburn job. He’s got it made in Lexington, getting paid life changing money at a place where 8-4 is a good season. Why take on a job with the most insane boosters in the country just for $1.5-2 million more a year?

Stoops would be an idiot to entertain any other college job, much less Auburn.

If he wants to compete for a national title, he needs to leave Kentucky. I just don't think Auburn (where they have no patience) is the solution.

I could see him working out at Nebraska. NIL money has changed the game on recruiting and Nebraska may be able to pull in bigger recruits now. But he needs to go somewhere that has the rare combination of (a) having patience and (b) can still compete for a national title. Somewhere like Virginia Tech would be interesting for him if that comes open again; but at this point VT may not even be able to offer as much money as Kentucky.

He doesn’t care about the national title. Stoops wants to make excuses and brag about things that really matter like fake “toughness” and time of possession titles

I agree with Ricky. I think he couldn't care less about a title. Why would he? He has the greatest money-to-stress ratio of maybe any college job of all-time.

If he went to a school that had the aspirations and ability to win a national title, they'd start breathing down his neck immediately after the first questionable loss, want to run him out of town on a rail if he didn't deliver said title within 2-3 years, and he honestly wouldn't even make that much more money. Stoops makes more money than Heupel right now with a fraction of the spotlight and expectations. He doesn't even coach the most popular sport at his own institution. There isn't a more "has it made" coach in college right now.

I mean, he’d still be getting paid a ridiculous amount of money to leave Auburn if it doesn’t work out.

He’s maxed out at Kentucky. They’ll never win the East nor the SEC.

And Auburn will ever win the West or the SEC?

Stoops is maxed out on day one at Auburn if he jumps.
