With so many reporters stirring the Cam Newton pot, Auburn must be under the big, big eye-glass of the NCAA. Statements circulated by ESPN, Fox, and others indicate serious trouble in the barn.

So, is there any news from their commits voicing doubts about boarding a train bound for wreck city?

Real Trouble, and what I just found out was that the FBI's been investigating corruption amoungst Auburn BoT members and ran into Cam in the middle of that investigation. Speculation is that there are recorded phone conversations out there. A nuke may be about to drop on SE AL; similar to Ihatebuckeye's avatar!!!

Never heard that. I think that the rumor makes sense here though. Too easy to imagine this is the case. The school is barely beginning to investigate and the FBI is already involved at this point. I smell a rat...

No. This is a completely different situation. A separate investigation led the FBI to Auburn's door. Several members of the BOTs are looking at a lot of federal charges. This makes the crooks at USC look like choir boys if 10% of what is rumored is true Auburn is done for a longgggg time.

If everything rumored to be true is true, we are looking at an SMU type punishment. Football Death Penalty. This is only IF everything is true.

That was actually the point I was getting too. This is a dirty, dirty situation down there and this Cam Newton deal is honestly a very small piece of the puzzle.

It looks like Auburn's dirt has been out in the open for a long time. But with the trustee bank and casino owners indicted, it doesn't seem possible that these violations could be swept under the rug or little noticed among the piles of garbage. This looks bad, really really bad. I just wonder if somebody will say that it is so bad that it has to be dropped and covered up.
