The simple version: players have always been paid and will continue to be paid, whether the player, handler, family, preacher, coach, friend, or whomever receives money. The ones that are speaking out are breaking the code.

I was always under the impression that Houston Nutt and Steve Spurrier complained to the NCAA about Bama before Fulmer got involved. Fulmer got involved because it involved a player from this state.

I guess bammers apply the la cosa nostra code to all schools when it comes to their myriad of cheating schemes. I would turn their a**es in in about 2 seconds as well just to experience their weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth about being picked on by the 'AA and their rivals. It's entertainingly pathetic.
