Auburn pay-To-play

To quote an amazing poster from the first half of the Alabama game: "Opelika, we have a problem."

This may wind up being a death penalty case.

Yet with Auburn, the NCAA shows a pattern of "looking the other way".

i agree with you. i hope something comes from this but dont see it happening, same with osu itll be swept under the rug. the ncaa is too busy trying to get ut and usc in trouble to worry about the barn and osu.

I just hope the NCAA does not get so mad at Auburn that they slam us in the Infractions Hearing.

I would think the differences between the infractions would make us less likely to get hit hard. I don't think the NCAA wants to levy a death penalty against anyone given the aftermath of what happened at SMU. Is this that much worse than what happened at USC? Total dollar value may be less, but it's too early to tell.

Dunno if they can prove this.. The players that are doing this seem bitter about something

You guys really think the NCAA will ever issue the "death penalty" again? Especially in this case? Not a chance, though I wish it were.

I don't think this hurts Auburn unless the NCAA launches an investigation..

At the moment it just sounds like he said , she said.. We will see

I hate how I have to search the entire forum to find threads that were on the home page.

Mods: Why was this moved from the home page?

the threads on the home page appear to be ones from the UT sports forums. Since this has nothing to do with UT sports then it probably won't show up

Oh, how I hope something comes of all this. I have more negative feelings about the Barn than anybody, including Clemson.

You just want to be able to claim an Sec championship even though you really didn't win it.

Why did you bring that game up? I had almost put that nightmare out of my mind. Thanks.

Just saw that HBO will be airing a piece tonight on Auburn and 4 players, who on camera, will be talking about receiving money while playing.
No more details than this.
Thoughts?

Edit: way worse than, not warthog

Warthog worse than USC IMO.

Wish Auburn would get the DP from this but didn't the NCAA later decide to never hand it out again, after they saw how much damage it did to SMU? I guess it wouldnt be as bad at Auburn seeing as it's an SEC school and it wouldn't totally destroy them like it did SMU.

Here, here. I despise that school
More than anything on the face of this planet, with notre dame a very close second. I would love to see them get donkey punched in the face by the AA.
