I'm just happy the spotlight is on someone else. This doesn't look good for them on top of everything else this year. I think some of the stuff in the HBO special is passed the statute of limitations time period. Don't know what will come of it all.......but we can dream. :flush:

No, the NCAA can waive the statute if they can prove a pattern of cheating...sooooooo yeah....

Here, here. I despise that school
More than anything on the face of this planet, with notre dame a very close second. I would love to see them get donkey punched in the face by the AA.

Unless these guys are willing to talk to the NCAA and go into extensive detail about names, dates, etc. then nothing will come of this.

Yet with Auburn, the NCAA shows a pattern of "looking the other way".

You nailed it! I wonder why that is. Does AU pay the NCAA too? I think the NCAA investigators should be investigated if nothing comes of this, the Cam Scam, etc., etc., etc.

These guys are just running a little low on cash. They will get a fill-up and when the 'AA comes calling, it will all be conversations that someone had with their dad's and didn't tell them anything about it.

The question will be will the NCAA cave in to the media pressure to investigate and penalize, or do they want this news to go away? And will it go away? If they had to answer to anyone, there would be some heated meeting right now.

If you're implying they're being paid for the interviews, than I should inform you that HBO won't pay for interviews. Same show had a story on Cam Newton in the works but the guy they were going to interview wanted money and HBO pulled the plug.

Unless these claims can somehow be corroborated independently then nothing will come of this. That was how they nailed SMU in the 70's. They got the stupid president of the school to admit on TV his handwriting was on an SMU envelope addressed to a player who was gettin' payola to playola.

They also had corroboration in the Reggie Bush case too.

I know alot of folks think "the barn" as the NCAA givin' them a pass these days and what with the Cam Newton escapade who would blame them. But during the 70's and the 90's AU got nailed by the NCAA and but good for similar scandals.

Those of us wishing for Auburn to get the "death penalty" can forget it. Given way that SMU football was literally wiped off the map in their "death penalty" case, the NCAA is likely to be very hesitant about that option ever again.

And also be careful what you start asking for if you are a fan of the SEC. Seems I recall that not long after the SMU case many other schools were put on probation from the SWC, having been turned on by their SWC brethren and about 15 years later that conference came to an end.

Nonsense. The SEC will last for a thousand years!

Good to see the spotlight shift.

I'm tired of being the poster child of the Lyin' Cheatin' club.

Thank You Aubey!

Nothing will come out of this unless NCAA can come up with some hard evidence. I am talking about the hard evidence other than the witness statements that link Auburn or its boosters directly to the money scheme. Do you remember how Auburn was busted in Eric Ramsey's case? How SMU was busted? How Reggie Bush was busted? Those he said, she said stuff really means nothing except making Auburn look bad.
