Auburn pay-To-play

I totally agree with Kyle King. AU has been doing the same things over and over again for ages. The punishments that the NCAA has handed out has not changed their systemic cheating. The only solution is the ultimate one.

It's past time IMO.

If this stuff keeps coming out the NCAA will have it's hand forced, and have no choice but to take action. Or maybe I'm delusional.

Auburn got hammered but it happens at almost all major schools. There is a bag man at Tennessee as well.
Jason Whitlock is an idiot though. Made a completely racist comment about him having to ride the back of the bus till those rules were changed. Whitlock was born in 1967 so that is a completely false statement and he should make a public apology for it.

Come on, really? Hell it's HBO they say anything on there.

Pride and ego took over his mouth on those comments. Should have punted in a neutral fashion. I will go with Scott Peterson...Barney was honestly naive....

And he only had one bullet. Auburn appears to be well-stocked. Pat Dye would be proud.

David Pollack is such an idiot. He is saying that these guys are going to get in trouble with the IRS because these guys didnt claim it as income

He's technically right. But that's like saying that Auburn will get in trouble with the IRS because they didn't record the purchase of property when they bought these players.

That's just the culture at most major football programs, especially in the South.

The University of Oregon’s football program is under scrutiny by the NCAA for alleged recruitment violations. According to multiple reports, the program allegedly paid two men who may have acted as boosters for the Ducks’ football program. One of the those involved is Willie Lyles, a Texas-based trainer, who is linked to the recruitment of Lache Seastrunk, a redshirt freshman from Temple, Texas.

Don't act all high and mighty, this happens everywhere.

And nothing will come of this.

Sounds like an Auburn fan.

Auburn fans have two responses:
1) Everybody does this
2) These are all lies

Ironically each rebuttal makes the other invalid, but they live in a fake world where that is possible. Even stranger, the NCAA is turning their fake world into a real one. Auburn fans can keep saying 1&2 but if everyone else is doing this, why do these stories keep coming out of the same damn place..

You guys again. Faaaaantastic.

Also, I have no doubt that at least some of these claims are legit. I find it a little hard to believe that boosters were giving some of these guys money every game when they were never stars or even contributors but who knows. I know Chaz personally and I can say that he is very bitter about what happened to him here. He tried to sue the university a year ago and it was immediately thrown out.

Chizik is playing with fire by calling the HBO report "pure garbage". It's one thing to defend your Heisman winner, but to defend guys who were there under a different staff is going to come back and haunt him

Chizik was there then.

he was there in 2007? I knew he was an assistant but I thought he moved on by then

Anyway this dude at the Orlando Sentinel wants Auburn, OSU and Tennessee to get the Death Penality. Such a joke

NCAA death penalty: NCAA needs to resurrect death penalty for Auburn, Ohio State, Tennessee, other rule-breakers - OrlandoSentinel.com

Because I am a big UT fan I have to wonder if I am being objective here. But, I need to someone to explain to me how the allegations against UT are even in the same ballpark as the allegations against AU and OSU.

Why would you call him an idiot for his statement? (I'm a former accountant) Almost all income, which this clearly is, is taxable to the recipient.
