Auburn pay-To-play

Can anybody give a quick summary for those of us unable to watch?

Tyrone Prothro and Ed Obannon are suing the NCAA.

Stanley McGlover just threw Auburn, LSU, Michigan State and Ohio State under the bus. Accusations of $500 hand shakes and the best poon Ohio State had to offer.

Prothro from Alabama works at Regions bank in Tusculoosa...Auburn loves to pay recruits and does a lot of money handshakes for them. Plus one guy commited to Ohio State, MCGlover, changed his mind after receiving undisclosed amount in duffel bag.

Thanks.

Anybody think something of significance will come of this?

what has gone on is college sports recruiting would we really be dismayed. It almost feels like there will be an
upheaval of information that will be coming out on many things that has happened and is happening now to recruit kids to schools across the country. Maybe there will be many more kids that will come forward with some pretty interesting stories. Can't wait.:loco:
GO VOLS!

I know that Auburn fans and former players are going to come out of the woodwork and defend their university, but when these kinds of stories keep popping up about the same university, it starts to look a little strange.

He just does what Lowder tells him to do

That's what it looks like. I believe that document said CGC would have no knowledge of any of the dealings, and that he would end up being the fall boy. Couldn't happen to a better bunch, if you ask me.

Auburn got hammered but it happens at almost all major schools. There is a bag man at Tennessee as well.
Jason Whitlock is an idiot though. Made a completely racist comment about him having to ride the back of the bus till those rules were changed. Whitlock was born in 1967 so that is a completely false statement and he should make a public apology for it.

Gabe Wright said he actually didn't make his decision until a couple of hours ago.

The best part of the show was when Prothro was asked how much money he got from Bama. The expresions on his face showed he was lying through his teeth.

Actually, he looked to me liked he regretted not taking advantage of potential money. He looked sad to me, like he missed out. I feel for the guy. In fact, that was the WORST part of the show. I hope you really did not enjoy that.

Is there a more naive coach than Gene Chizik in all of sports? Twitter

Chizik is either Scott Peterson or Barney Fife.

Pride and ego took over his mouth on those comments. Should have punted in a neutral fashion. I will go with Scott Peterson...Barney was honestly naive....
