I have no basis for knowing what AU will do, but seems risky to add Freeze to Pearl. They will be watched, and a couple of missteps with Freeze would surely invite an institutional control hammer on them. I would think looking for a squeaky clean guy would be high on their list of things to do. But, you never know what boosters egos will produce.

It would be risky, but nothing has happened to LSU with Orgeron and Wade. Institutional control is an oxymoron in the SEC.

Gus is a good Coach. Somebody just didn't like him. AUBURN is about as dis-functional as Tennessee; however THEY care about winning.

Freeze is incredibly overrated and lost a bunch of games even while cheating big time on the recruiting trail. He would be .600 or so here after 3 years and be run off even if he does stay out of trouble. Set a reminder for 2 years from now and we can revisit lol

I beg to differ. Also what you call cheating on the trail is also called winning recruiting battles. The guy got the #1 player 2x at Ole Miss along with top recruiting classes yr in and yr out. A major part of recruiting is letting the bag go vs tryna just sell a school because of prestige or name sake.

I checked on a whim this morning, and LSU and Auburn each have fewer guys in the transfer portal than we do. I know the guys we have in there were not producers, but I still thought it was interesting.

Auburn will not get Urban Meyer. Urban has publicly made comments about his two favorite institutions and they are ND and Ohio St. He did not leave Columbus so he can run down to that garbage on the plains...but the barn has done some crazy things, like a black hole for common sense
