This is what I heard as well and from a very reliable source. I don’t like it at all but surely 4 weeks is enough time to get his ankle fully healthy
One word you will never hear from CJH when it concerns injuries is the word WILL.
As in, a certain player WILL or WILL NOT play.
He will say that he “expects“ someone to play. That’s a waffle word, though.
You also will never hear him describe in detail the exact nature of an injury.
He will just say things like: “he’s a little banged up”, ”he’s just dealing with a few things that need to be cleaned up”, .
He might generally locate an injury by saying upper body, or lower body but that’s about it.
He‘s very old school about this subject in wanting to keep personnel info close to the vest as long as he can.
The new SEC disclosure policy has changed that a little.
starting Wednesdays and up until Gameday, he must use 1 of 5 words to describe players.
Those words are: Available, Probable, Questionable, Doubtful, Out.
If the SEC deems that Coaches are not being honest with these words, they can be fined.
Now how in the heck they can determine that without a “doctors note” from each team, I have no idea.
And even with that, a team doctor would always back up what their coach said.
*Reminder..this is all about college football becoming more popular to gamblers who insist on more reliable injury information.*
