'24 AZ EDGE Elijah Rushing (Oregon commit)

There are some people in this thread that don't have close connections to their parents, their brothers (I don't have a sister, can't speak to it) or their state, and I don't think they get it. I'm not judging anyone here, but I'm just saying they don't get the pull of xyz. Not everything is dollars and cents or losing and winning. If you're confident in yourself and your abilities, you might be more willing to gamble on yourself. And that's completely and totally understandable.

After med school and residency and fellowship, I gambled on myself for my family and where I wanted to live. It was a losing proposition at the time and now it's about to come up big. Maybe I'm a little biased, and I get that. But anyone saying this guy is strictly looking for money or is too attached to family or whatever, I think you might be missing the bigger picture in this kid's life. I'd love for him to be a part of our football team. But he may have other priorities. And it's going to be *fine* for both parties regardless of who he picks.
These are probably the same people demanding our staff gets every player in Tennessee because they’re supposed to want to play for the home state.

I haven’t commented on this recruitment and know nothing about it. I can guarantee you that when I do have/share information, it does not come from that human Easter egg at VQ.
I respect that. You aren't one of those who goes to every single thread alleging to have information.

Jedd Fisch is the head coach... who? AZ went 5-7..........................................................................

I don't know where he is going but if I had to bet on it, I would put my money on the Vols if the Ducks are out.

So, Oregon thought he was definitely committing to them until the last day or two. Then, they say he isn't coming to Oregon, so he must be committing to his in-state school, and you put stock in that prediction?
Metal says 'we're fighting' hope for the best, plan for the Steven Seagal to the cockpuncher region.

And they and they are honest when we have no shot. Like Daniel Calhoun and Ronan, they basically said we had no shot.
Have AP, Matt Ray or Ryan Callahan said we're out of it? Not that I heard. The last thing I heard from each of them in low-key cautious optimism, like maybe between a 30%-40% puncher's chance. So, the Oregon info is basically just saying that the Ducks are out of it.

This will probably be my final update on this for at least today. If anything else turns up, I will obviously pass it on leading into the decision. There are going to be different rumors out there leading into his announcement, but they aren’t coming from the family as they simply aren’t talking to anyone right now and are not going to until this is over. They want this as close to the vest as possible. They reiterated that to me earlier this week and have been quiet on every front since.

There is Arizona smoke out there right now for sure. Imo, a lot of it stems from Oregon believing they are fading and the Wildcats being the next safest bet. One point that hasn’t been talked about a lot is his brother is now on scholarship at Arizona, so that could be an X-factor. They are the hometown program that desperately wants to keep him home and they’ve felt solid in their chances while others have discounted them.

The family is still talking with TN this afternoon and have not informed them of a decision to my knowledge. Nothing has changed on the front that the Vols blew them away on the visit and are in this more than most think. Again, will that be enough? We will have to wait and see. That’s where I am at with this one for now.
