THE SKINNY: Wood-Anderson had interest from Tennessees previous staff, but Pruitt and assistant coach Brian Niedermeyer were able to convince the No. 1 JUCO tight end to take his final official visit to Knoxville this weekend. Wood-Anderson is a former Texas pledge, and has also seriously considered committing to Alabama and Oregon. He has taken OVs to Texas, Alabama, Texas A&M and Louisville. Wood-Anderson is an early enrollee and will sign next Wednesday.
I think the playing time opportunity is there definitely. Once Ethan Wolf is gone, it's pretty much there for the taking.
It may be a longshot though, but you've gotta like having the last visit.
Heck, we should just fill this class with as many JUCO's as possible. Then go hard on High schoolers next year when we have a full year to recruit.
I can't wait for this cycle to be DONE. I almost want it gone as much as much as I want to see what 2019 brings.
Thats a bit harsh. The coach we just fired was a clown
I don't agree. Butch worked his butt off for the Vols. He recruited well. He was just stubborn in his offensive scheme, as most coaches are, and it wasn't and would never be successful in the weekly grind of the SEC. He is a good man, I hated to see him fail. I do think we are better off than when he started. The clown was Dooley. He didn't sign an o-lineman for a couple years or something to that regard. Dooley can't say we were better after his departure.
