This speaks volumes. Not just about the past, but where the Vols are going in the future.

“Yeah, I just don’t think Pig really knew and I still think he is trying to find his way a little bit on how to be a big time player at this level. He didn’t really have any one last year to kind of show him the ropes that way, to be a consistent guy all the time. He just kind of got thrown in there as a freshman, he just kind of ran around. He didn’t really know off the field how to take care of himself, how to study the game. He didn’t really understand how to be a big time guy in meetings and be a trusted guy. He is slowly but surely starting to become that. He should be a different guy when we jog out here in the next couple weeks to offseason to spring and summer.”

I guess the best way to describe the last staffs coaching style was hands off……….really really do whatever hands off…….

Not really. I think everybody stopped wondering about the coaching staff after the KY loss 2 yrs ago. Just a matter of waiting for another lossing season for the fooley.

Yeah sounds like last year it almost "every man for himself" and now they are a "Team" moving forward! May be CBJ's biggest accomplishment to date! :rock:

just think,if Hart hadn't of got rid of Wilcox and company,CDD could score points,what might of happened ? and we still are stuck with Hart

Hell yeah! Although i wish they would, they don't even have to throw more balls to him...just rip that damn jet sweep to Pig out of the play book, delete from the iPad!! It's not even fair to ask Pig to run the play...ugh.

Very true. But brighter days on on their way hopefully. I'm a big basketball fan and CBJ is the closest thing our football team has had to a Bruce Pearl in my lifetime.

Now as long as he don't have recruits come to his house for a bbq and lie about it we will be in gooood shape. :)

Our previous staff (which coached WR's and QB's) beat the crap out of our current coaching stuff when they played head to head (so our new best in America bearcat coaching staff should STFU and start winning instead of blaming Bush :loco:).

Showed glimpses vs. Georgia of how special he can be in space. Recall vs. Georgia one pass where twice he made a move, changing direction leaving Georgia players grabbing air.

Do you have amnesia? Our previous staff can be blamed for a lot of things but coaching offense is NOT on that list. They put together one of the best offenses in the country (as CBJ felt first hand when they beat him up few years ago), and one of the best in school history (in 3 years). They also put great WR's into NFL (including our head coach who is obviously good enough to coach WR position in the NFL). This thread is the most ridiculous criticism of any of our former coaches I have seen so far (and on this forum the competition for dumb criticism of former coaches is FIERCE).

It takes too long develop. Need to keep plays short and sweet.

It seems to be a poorly conceived play because it is ALWAYS poorly executed. It's an automatic 2-5 yard loss. Just can't block it and its gonna get Pig killed. That being said, I fully expect to see it again tomorrow. Ugh.

<<<< Legend, I am a big Lady Vols fan,i don't see CBJ being her equal,of course nobody can,but i do have high hopes for him

there is a lot of wondering first,i don't like the read option,looks slow for the SEC of course,it may be talent and the D looks to have holes in it,not the first time in recent years, it is going to be tuff for sure

Hart told Wilcox and company no contract extensions over a year and they didn't stay,so we got his buddy Sunseri from Bama,with a nice contract and the rest is history

she is what every coach should be,a kick ass person and then a great coach

CBJ offense looks slow to me,but i am no great football mind at all,.I don't get the read option at all,unless we have a QB that can run the ball and it ain't going to happen on the out side runs as we have seen

CBJ has to get use to SEC speed and the greatest coaching staff in the States too, like i was told when i was young,that's a long row to hoe,don't f ing stop till your done
