If you are trying to be ignorant then you are definitely not failing. Let me guess.....you are <25 yrs old?

24...but I'm not sure what that has to do with him. I am old enough to remember watching the NC game and I remember it very well.

Simple question, did the football program fail while he was the coach? Was he not fired because he wasnt getting the job done? Is that not the same as failing?

His last four seasons. 5-6, 9-4, 10-4, 5-7. Out of 17 years he had 2 losing seasons. How many winning seasons have we had since he got fired? I'm not saying it was not time for a change but the man deserves a lot more respect then some of you butt-hurt people on this board give him!

You were 9 chief. You clearly missed the 8 years before the NC game and evidently your memory of the good years after the '98 season.. Peyton Manning wad essentially fired from the Colts. Was he a failure?

1 or 2 years out of a career that is close to 2 decades as a head coach does not define a failure. If you think so then get back with me in 15-20 years and tell me if you still feel the same way.

....so he wasnt fired fired for failing? Interesting.

And Peyton wasnt "fired" the colts were in a unique situation and simply made a business move. The just traded an old sure thing for a new sure thing. Its apples and oranges, chief

How was Manning traded? I must have missed the traded part.

Who exactly did the Colts get from the Broncos? I will hang up and listen.

Get back with me the next time you reach the very top of your profession and some ungrateful, short-memoried so called fan refers to you as a failure.

Was he fired for failing or not??? Answer the question. Let me guess you didnt want him fired?

The Colts could have resigned Peyton and traded down in the draft and rebuilt the team but instead just opted to cut him loose and take the surest thing at QB the NFL draft has seen in a long time. It was just a business move. What does this have to do with Fulmer and ETSU anyway?

Haha you guys talk **** all you want but...still no answer.

Was Bobby Bowden fired (pushed out) for failing or not?

Answer the question.

After you answer that one, answer this one.

Was Bobby Bowden a failure?

This.
I was one of the horde screaming for his head back then but what would I give for a 9 or 10 win season right now?

Those aren't the same things. Successful people have failed a lot. It's the thing they learn from.
Bobby failed at the end because he failed. His overall tenure is not a failure. Their mutually exclusive.

I think that was his point.

He didn't have a point. He was just blowing nonsense to get a rise out of us. Phil didn't fail miserably at TN. He is arguably the second most influential and successful coach in our storied history behind the General.

Bring Back Bruce, wait a minute, oops, Phil - here's wishing you a long and successful career at ETSU. Hope you get to play my NDSU BISON for an FCS Championship game in the near future.

I miss getting pissed at Phil for golf clapping and film studying after an eight win season.

The simple answer to the question is Fulmer failed at hiring an OC as good as Cut. The Fulmer Cut Chief combo was a force to be reckoned with. You want to see failure...I give you Mike Hamiton.

I can't take a bandwagon Lakers and Cowboys fan seriously. I bet your favorite baseball team is the Yankees.

Are you serious? The Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league and Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in forever. And I don't even like baseball. If I was a bandwagon fan wouldn't I root for the Heat and the Seahawks. Smh.
