Back on the Heup Train

Sadly, every one of those bombs were open and should have been TDs or at least completed. If the coach schemes and calls a play and the QB just misses, then it cripples your playbook if your star player cannot execute.
So close. They were great play calls because the receiver was open every time

I hope we don’t run off the best coach we’ve had since Fulmer
He will get run off if he doesn’t beat the big 3. I think we will sweep them this year. If loses to Alabama, the seat will warm. Not saying he gets run off this year but if he doesn’t beat the other two this year and next. Hes gone.

I have no problem with Coach Heup. I think some expect the offensive production every game, but sometimes your defense has to be a factor.

You do realize that the big 3 are no longer the big 3.

Folks, thinking like this is why we can’t have nice things…

Gaston Moore could run it better!
I suspect you might, might, might be right. I'd like to see him in there, and believe sometime during the Bama game, or after we will. Only because I think his experience will allow him to handle blitzes better and avoid turning over the ball so frequently.

We have different perspectives. You have a few years to learn some things
I'm probably way older than you. I've competed my entire life. Just because I'm not sunshine and rainbows you have some weird addiction with following me around commenting and taking shots. You don't know me, shut up.

Heupel has to make his system more QB friendly. He has had 3 QBs so far at UT and only one has looked comfortable in his offense....and Nico was supposedly built for his system.

If he doesnt figure out his offense, he isnt going to work out here.

He is just a redshirt freshman and being exposed to SEC football. The experience will make him better.

Josh Heupel now has more wins against Florida than Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, & Jeremy Pruitt had combined.
That seems about right to me. Seems like a lot of us tried to tell you things like this when the above mentioned coaches were at the helm...

He is getting worse each game, not better. He was dreadful Saturday night. Again, if it was an experience thing, then explain how Milton couldnt run the offense.

Milton was just OK as a QB.

You may never see someone run the offense as well as Hooker did. He was special in this offense and not so much in the VAT offense. and that is a problem because people have an expectation that ever QB should do that.

If you ever want to see the Vols make the playoffs, the QB absolutely has to be able to run the offense as well as Hooker did.

Beating Florida can’t hide three straight games of bad play calling and terrible clock management. His clock management leaves me scratching my head in two games straight now. Against Arkansas I watched a whole minute tick off the clock with three timeouts before he decided it was a good idea to start using them.
