How many times this year have we been even or down one in the closing seconds and fired up a three pointer when we had plenty of time to get a decent shot? Has there been a single game that we were even or just down one point that we didn't fire up a three pointer to close out the game? Of those three pointers how many have we hit? Even the game we won at Georgia was a horrendous three by Tobias who was camped out on the out of bounds line in the deep corner for what reason I don't know. Of those three pointers shot at the end of the game how many were shot by our best three point shooter? How many by Melvin? I think you catch my drift. How many times does it take before you learn not to do what you keep doing? It's been the same thing over and over and over and they take so long they don't even give themselves a shot at a rebound and a put back. Very frustrating but like this season my post is a broken record.
No reason to force a desperation 3 with 15 seconds on the clock. Goins needs to grow a brain.

and Pearl needs to realize that he isnt going to grow a brain. Anyone with half a brain can see that we are awful at creating shots. Why then did anyone think it was a good idea to try to do just that in the last 15 seconds?
which he didnt do, and everyone knew he wouldnt do. its pearl's job to know that as well.
He's slow, can't shoot and doesn't handle it very well. He can't feed the post and couldn't defend any PG that I've ever heard of. Otherwise, he's perfect. Good call. Why not? Obviously goins and golden are getting it done. Mcbee hustles and would distribute the ball. More pt might give him the opportunity to get into a rhythm shooting the ball also.

if you have a team with a high BB IQ, and a floor leader that knows what you want then you dont take the TO; but if you dont, then you take it and try to set your play up; Goins totally took the rest of the team out of the last possession like he is Michael Jordan or Jon Wall or the like; its absurd; Tatum Hopson or Harris should have had the ball going to the rim. But ole Melvin just dribbled the clock away and took an off balance three pointer with not enough time left for a put back. Stupid play pure an simple
BP is a great coach but he has to be one of the worst end game coaches of all time. You have to use the time out...
Why do you have to call a time out? You merely give your opponent an opportunity to prepare for the final play as well.
Coaches have spent time practicing and teaching these kids, these situations. You should be able to execute the play that you want to run without calling the time out and allowing your opponent to set up.
Those are the exact sentiment of Bob Knight. You never saw him calling a time out to draw up a play.
