Bad look for the playoff committee so far

There goal was to make sure the SEC didn't dominate. The only way to do that was:
1. put only 3 SEC teams in. There should have been 5
2. Send Tennessee to Ohio St. If Tennessee wins send them 2000 miles from home to play Oregon
3. Give Notre Dame and Penn St. gimmes in round 1. Penn St. now plays Boise State

The fix was in in their first release with 4 out of top 5 from the Big10. Complete pathetic bias.
There should not have been 5 SEC teams in. If Bama wanted in, maybe they should have tried not getting their **** pushed in by Vanderbilt and Oklahoma. Had they gotten in, they would have had 2 of the worst 3 losses in the field.

Yeah anything that creates more cross-P4 play will be helpful with creating a better field

With the current format, I wish we’d see the current P4 teams have a schedule of 8 conference games, 1 game against each of the other 3 P4, and then one G5/FCS payout game.
Pod winners play in conference semis, final two plays to win conference, the last 4 play for it all.

Didn't play for your pod championship? Don't complain. Lost conference championship game? Don't complain.

Wanna win it all, win during the season, win the conference and then win 2 games!

Two playoff games down and both have been horribly boring and uncompetitive. didn't expect Indiana or SMU to win but certainly thought they would be better than this. Hopefully from now on strength of schedule becomes a more outsized factor in selecting teams. Someone in the SEC could have put on a better show than this garbage.

Here's hoping that someone is Tennessee lol GB🍊!
Alabama wasnt in

The committee looked sexy af🤓

So we’ve got to watch two teams that half the SEC could wipe the floor with.

They need to quit worrying about the other BS and pick the best 12 teams period.
Right. That's why all the talk about needing SEC to be the best conference is silly. If the committee doesn't reward it, then why do I care how tough the league is? The SEC could be trash next year and any team with 10 wins could get in. The committee has made it clear that they reward winning the most games. If course, they will change that next year, causing more confusion. They really made themselves look foolish by rewarding two teams who didn't beat anyone of significance. ANYONE.

Indiana, SMU, Clemson . . . None of the three are remotely competitive.

The size and play of SMU looked like a really good . . . FCS team . . . Playing a decent Big 10 team.

Indiana was simply not very good.

Clemson is on their way to getting boat raced by Texas. Clemson at least looks somewhat competitive.

Arizona State and Boise State getting byes after watching these games . . . Makes the whole bracket a joke . . .

A 9-3 Tennessee team that is a top-10 caliber team will be left out at some point under this format.

Bingo. Those same idiotic anti-Bama/Ole Miss takes will be pissing and moaning takes when it's us on the outside looking in next year.

Damn people, get over the juvenile hate and see the big picture.

Agree with all this. I will say what they did get right is games on campus. Just hope OSU home field advantage doesn’t tile to them like ND and TX. Let’s go!

Everyone will give the committee a hard time for their selections, but it is hard to win on the road against good competition. It's just that these teams don't have to play many such games.
