….in the childish behavior from BOTH the Harris boys tonight, especially Tobias. Can’t say I’m surprised because the father is a fool, and a broker. The game was over in the midle of the 3rd quarter, and ended about an hour later with all the fouling, so WHY did it take Haris so long to check his emotions??
He came out for his runner-up medal and threw it towards the scorers table then recieved a huge round of boos from not just CBA fans, but anyone else not wearing any HHHW gear. Before that, in the “shake hands” line, he wouldn’t shake any CBA players hands, including his AAU teammate Cameron Ritter!?
Then when being named to the All-Tournament team, he wouldn’t even shake any other members hands!? WHAT A F’IN BABY!!
Bottom line is they just got beat by a well coached team that plays TOGETHER on both ends of the floor.
ps—can anyone explain to me how a kid (#23-Sledge) that lives in Newark, NJ plays for a public school on L.I.??? He “lives with the Harris family” I was told!? Isn’t that illegal?

This kid is gonna have to check that attitude at the door if he's going to be successful.

He's just a passionate player. Yes, that is fairly childish but he is just that.. a kid. Behavior like that won't fly with Pearl and he will learn that quickly. He'll be fine as lonng as he becomes a good sport. But, when I was that age I am sure I was just as bad if not worse.. And I like the fire he shows. Reminds me of Noah from FL. He's the kinda guy you want on your team and not on your rival teams.

he felt he had a chip on his shoulders and he felt that he let his team down and beat himself over it,the other team found a way to contain harris and harris had to sit down cause of foul trouble and just watch the game and he couldnt do anything about it.PLUS that was the first loss of the season soo he's not use to losing. alot of hype on the kid at his high school when the season started and he excepted the leader role

I like a passionate player who plays with a ton of fire, but I can't stand a player who acts immature and childish. He is just a senior in high school who has been told all his life that he is the best player around, been treated like he is the best player around, and well was the best player around. It won't take long on a D-I campus with daddy Bruce to take some air out of his head and the edge off of his attitude. He will always be a passionate player and I'm glad. He is one that will be hated by everyone not wearing Tennessee orange, but the more they hate him the better he is and the more we will love him.

You can't respond to adversity like that in big games...could you imagine if he did that at UT...say it was against UK and we needed him in the game and he got T'd up like that...the kid's in high school not middle school....I just hope he learns from this and doesn't lose it like that at UT...it makes him and the school look bad

Yes he did go to far, but I love his passion for the game and how he hates to lose. He will learn from it.

He didn't come for that 2nd place medal or w/e. He came for one thing and didn't get it. "And nothing else matters"-his likely rationale

"Upset with the call, Harris ran around the court and over to the scorer’s table where he slammed the ball and fell to the ground and kicked his feet."

Geez, how old is he? Four?

I'm just excited about him as everyone elese, but all you people saying it's no big deal are dead wrong. Hopefully Bruce takes care of this early so we don't have to see anything of the sort when he gets to UT.

You can tell by various interviews that he is smart and level-headed. I have no problem with this kind of emotion on the court, because it means he wants to win. We are getting a very passionate player that can help us win championships.

This headline made me think he got hurt real bad. As bad as his temper tantrum was, I have to admit I'm relieved that's all it was.

Meh - not really a huge deal at all.. Thread title is way misleading - this is a non-story - I expected to read he got arrested or something - or as the above posters said - injured badly.

You can keep that yankee negativity up there in NY, we will welcome Tobias with open arms!!!!! It could have been something that happened during the game, who knows, but this is the first negative thing I've seen written about TB. Every interview I've seen with him or article I've read, he is seems genuine and exudes class for a HS student. Your probably a jilted Syracuse fan! V.B bring that game to Knoxville young man!!!!!:rock:

It's amazing the people that are trying to condone this behavior.

He's a senior in HS, not in 2nd grade.

There is no justifying the temper tantrum he threw. It is beyond ridiculous.

What will he do next year if Cousins stays at UK and dominates him? Sit on the bench and suck his thumb? Not drink his juice box? Take his ball and go home?

Too many are mistaking passion with foolishness.
