If this person really was a booster, and if you really were talking to them, it is obvious that they were feeding you thorough grade A bull****.

I don't know the relationship between the poster and this supposed booster, but if I were a booster and I were talking to a random person at a game, and I had pertenant information about a deal that the entire University of Tennessee and mega corporations like ESPN are keeping hush hush, I sure as heck wouldn't start blabbing it all at random fans.

Truly think you both are confused....

We will not start to recruit without a coach designated....
Recruiting starts tomorrow, so waiting 2 weeks is not a good option.

Control is a screen.....but not an issue. There is nothing to control unless it is in areas outside of NCAA regs...which is not going to happen....

Where did you get this info in the Skybox? East or West....
In the Stands? Which yard line....at the pregame reception for alumini? Are you posting at the Game? Where did you hear this information? Was it on a curb?

Let us know so at least we can determine the validity of your conversation.

Radio does not count.....you are adding tidbits....

what possible reason is there to go to new york to interview candidates?

If I'm correct, which I believe I am.

Due to the fact UT is a state university they have to follow state laws.

1. Job has to be open at least 10 days. That means the earliest they could announce would be the 29th of Nov.

2. Has to give minimum of 3 interviews.

There is no way around either it's state law.

Cmon man really? :eek:lol: I passed along information I was told. Whether it is valid or not I really can't say. This was an older gentleman and I see no reason for him to lie. If it turns out to not be true then great we got our guy. If it turns out to be true then I will be a bit upset. We'll all know soon enough....

I'm a booster. We have thousands of boosters. I currently have no info to report. But I am hopeful it's Gruden.

Hasn't it been said 1,000 times that Dooley was hired 3 days after Kiffin left.

If we do not get gruden, it may very well be because he doesn't want to deal with an AD looking over his shoulder. Seriously. The guy is a big shot, used to having his way and used, as an NFL coach, to dealing mostly with an owner, if that. It doesn't have to be a problem--Kiffin was OK coming here, but he did not have the options Gruden does--but I can also see where it might be. This also points up how powerless ADs can be in situations like this: Let's say the big boosters are determined to get Gruden, while Hart may want somebody whom he thinks he can have some sway--and some say--with. A possible problem. The ADs at Auburn, for example, have typically been puppets for Bobby Lowder. Interesting dynamics...I hope Hart doesn't screw this up.
