I thought the same thing watching the game. One team played loose , made shots, got rebounds and the other team played tight, missed shots early, never found their groove

Yep with South Carolina losing perhaps the SEC talked itself into being better than it really is. Of course the dude from Oregon(transfer from South Carolina) is having an all time career game. In both SEC losses the opponent has hit their threes. Makes Ms State and South Carolina defenses not so stingy. Vols' success or lack thereof will depend on hitting a reasonable % from 3 and somebody other than ZZ/DK hitting just a few. If Gainey/Vescovi/JJJ can combine for 5 or more threes per game the Vols are MUCH tougher to beat.

Arkansas beating Duke, us beating Illinois, Kentucky beating North Carolina all made an impression. Florida and Missouri beating Pittsburgh as well.

Nothing like hitting 3's to be the great equalizer. Seems the theme for #12 seeded teams and up is to hit some 3's early and rattle the lower rated teams confidence. Seems to be working

Seems we have some SEC fans here. I hate everyone in the SEC outside the vols...but when the SEC is strong it makes our wins more impressive....so I get all that.
