Baffled about Lady Vols

As we all are learning the coaches that recruit the best also win the most. We have some star players mixed in with some average players. Were not terrible were not great. I could add about two players at two positions and we would become great. Just two players would make us great or at least as good as anyone else.

Yes, we forced that in to Rickea.

Wish we had a second option on that play. Per the play design, unsure what a second option could have been? Perhaps an outside shooter all the way across the court which would have been a risky pass.

An easily defended in-bound play with three Lady Vols positioned in too small of area.

Probably was no second option except the point guard gets open a lot and she can't shoot well enough to try a lot of shots.

They look pretty good but not worldbeaters. They have some tough games coming up (well, ACC is really competitive, so most games are tough). Recruiting is solid. As someone else said, defense looks good.

Better watch herself at Boston college that team rises to another level at home. They have pulled some huge upsets on that home court.

UT would be better with Holl starting and playing more. But I suspect the point he was making was that it would take another two really good additions to the current roster to elevate it to become a great team. I agree with that opinion, specifically a standout PG and another post player at the Holl level or ideally even better.

I think she has a better all around game that Darby don't know how much better we would be. She plays quite a bit right now and may I say has played way below what she played as a freshman.

She was a 5 star wasn’t she? In any event, she can help this year but her increased PT would not change the overall character of the team from its current place to one of the great teams currently.

I can't remember who in-bound the ball, but she could have run to top of key for a heave as a Plan B.

As you say, don't think Kellie drew up a second option. Jordy was badly injured, leaving RJ

Yes like Boston or Cardoso in the post and Clark at point guard kind of changes everything. That is why recruiting is so important.

Hooker was talking about Lawson being another guy lol of Pat Summit. He said the present Georgia coach who was hired by White would be a good fit. My thoughts are Kara might be good if she could recruit. I think the present Ga. Coach is one of the better x and o coaches, but could she recruit. If you want to win big and have a chance at the National title you must be able to recruit. It is the difference. Yes you need to know how to use personnel when you get them, but your not going to win much if you don't have them.

This is where the season has gone wrong. We thought Powell was going to be the huge answer at point guard. The way she played at Minnesota and the way she is playing here is two completely different players. If Kellie is back next year the hunt for a point guard that is elite is a must and she also must replace Horston and Jackson which might be to much to ask.

While others breathe Tennessee as a whole. No established rules of the team you choose to follow on when you can check in for validation to others. Lady Vols fall under the Tennessee brand not the other way around.

I do not mind moving away from the Summit tree. Based on his other hires, White can probably find a good one.

Not looking good for this staff for sure. Need a bold move. How about fire hubby and replace with somebody like the coach at Jackson South Side High. He could recruit and run the defense. Recruiting is a bust.
