NO BAMA, THERE IS NOT NEXT YEAR. One Bammer told me, does Star Jackson ring a bell? I dont care who your so called QB is next year. The bottom line is that you have to have a Proven Veteran QB in the SEC to WIN.

Top of the class:
Florida=Tebow
Georgia= Stafford
Bama=Wilson
Ole Miss=Snead

Bottom of the class:
TN=Crompton
USCjr=Garcia
Aubie=Burns
LSU=Hatch

With Stafford and possibly Tebow gone next year, we might actually have a chance, but not with Crompton. I do however think that Ole Miss wins the West next year.

if i read this post right, the writer is hoping that instead of raising the vols to the leader's level, the leaders will fall down to the pitiful status of the vols. that might make us competitive within a weakened conference, but its hardly satisfying. i would prefer that the vols raise themselves up to the point they can go toe to toe with the socals, o.u.s, and penn states. otherwise, i'm going to give up football for volleyball.

um, yea, bama is only losing 9 scholorship players next year seniors. THey might lose some to the draft. but this team can win 10 games next year.

agreed, and i have a hard time envisioning ole miss winning the west, i dont think theyll have a toatl package to beat the top sec teams every weak, i think theyll be competative all season but lay an egg in a big game or two and lose out the opputunity to play in atlants, but i love ole miss theyre my 2nd fav team in the sec behhind of course UT:)

I have all the faith in the world that CLK will bring the Big Orange back to being a National Power. I was just amused by the fact that a Bammer friend told me that Bama will be a top 10 team next year with Star Jackson at the helm.

NO WAY YOU CAN WIN 10 GAMES IN THE SEC WITH A FIRST YEAR STARTER AT QB.....oh wait, maybe you can. I forgot about Tee Martin.

If that QB is good enough you can. Hopefully he wont be tho! lol but that Bama team is still gonna be good.

Bama is winning because they are a well disciplined team, They will win the west next year and probably the SEC.

An unproven QB is capable of coming in and succeeding in the SEC. I believe we might be seeing Bama on top for a few years. It hurts to even type that! Get ready to see Bama vs. Florida for the next 3 out 4 years in the SECCG. Just a thought.

Tee Martin
Matt Flynn
DJ Shockley
Erik Ainge
Sam Bradford
Mark Sanchez

Many more I'm sure. What do all of these guys have in common? First year starters with great supporting cast. Jackson will have a great supporting cast next year and will be more mobile than JPW was.

Either way, this is the least talented team you'll see from Bama in the next 4 years. Personally though, I think they'll be fine with Star Jackson, especially with Coffee/Upchurch/Ingram taking a majority of the load.

I picture it looking a little like Mount Cody.

Have you looked at JPW's stats? He averaged about 180 yds/gm and had 10 TD passes for the year. Bama should be better next year, and with that defense, they just need decent QB play. I don't like it, but Bama's gonna be good for a while.
