Bama draft

They're just not that good. Alabama's strength is depth not top line talent. And the NFL draft is about top line talent.

A major reason Alabama players don't get exposed until they get to the NFL is because they have so many other good players around then covering up their flaws. In the NFL everyone has good talent around them so your individual weaknesses get exposed.

That is why so many Bama players are busts.

lol. No top line talent? SIAP but they had 10 guys drafted in the first 4 rounds. Eddie Jackson at 112 was their lowest drafted. Pretty clear they have top end talent.

D4H do you even think before you post? Name me one team over the past 5 years that has had more success in getting players drafted than Bammer. They've had many successful players as well. My take on this is how the F*** do they continue to recruit at the totally ridiculous level they do? There has been nothing like it since those UCLA basketball teams. Saban is good but "something is rotten in Denmark " with Bammer's recruiting.

9 Bama players in the first 80 picks.
You know what is funny is my wife watched the draft with me and my son who is huge eagle fan and see kept saying why every time a bama player picked they post failed drug, guns and so on. I said does not matter will not be a good pro anyway

Every time? Hmmmm.

As for your last sentence, I'm sorry that your son finally had that moment when he realized his dad is an idiot.

Two real "takes" from this years draft.

1: o line men are becoming scarce because of the high school game in college.

2: salami guys are done by the time they reach the draft.

Eric Mangini had great insight on this. He said what's really going on is that they are so well developed in college that they have hit their ceiling before they go pro. What you see is what you get and they have no more to give, meanwhile, at the pro level the rest of the competition is developing dramatically when they hit the pro level. Basically... they have hit their ceiling.

For the hundreth time, Bama had twice as many Pro Bowlers as any other school. Anyone who thinks guys like Julio Jones and Dont'a Hightower topped out in college is a moron.

I was debating getting into this with you, was going to ask you how many salami players have been drafted in the last 7 years, and then ask you how many are still playing... work on the angle that all you could come up with is two players while there are more then a handful Tennessee players still playing on the steelers roster alone... but I've already lost my mind once this weekend, I'm tired, I'm drunk on wine, and I'm watching the movie grown ups 2.

You can only think of two Bama players in the league (and yes, I can think of many more, including the six 2016 Pro Bowlers), you're drunk on wine, and you're watching Grown Ups 2...

If your family loves you they'll organize an intervention.

53 players drafted since 2009, not including this draft.
there are 52 players currently listed, including the 10 from this draft. not willing to check when all the other guys were drafted. 42/53 is not bad.

I do this BECAUSE I have a family. Keep being you, you little number cruncher you.

You get drunk on wine, watch bad movies, make horrible sports predictions, interpret actual sporting results incorrectly, and come up with horrible team nicknames BECAUSE you have a family. Why do they treat you so poorly?
