Bammers blaming the refs.

mcelroy was sermonizing on JOX, saying he didnt want to hear fans' calling him about refs

Not a surprise because he doesn’t have the Crimson Tide rose colored glasses on since he can see the Crimson Tide got outplayed by the Volunteers in a high scoring thriller.

Man, they will need to guard the liquor stores when the Crimson Piles start loosing 3 and 4 games per year. Which is coming to stadiums throughout the Southeast!

LOL, they are crying about that PI call which their db clearly was hanging all over our WR in the endzone but never mention the one that gave them first and goal from the 1. Saban has always coached DB's to hold every play and banking on the ref not being able to call them all.

I posted this in the other Saban thread. I'm enjoying them complaining. We were mad about this hit last year. The video is no doubt targeting. Bur oh well. Suck it bama.

Seems like it just evened out from last year.
I get what you're trying to say... but Nah. Bama earned every single call that went against them. The officials missed at least two more PI/holding calls on their secondary. They missed the PI call in the end zone that led to one of their scores badly. One of the worst calls I've seen in a very long time. Bama held all night. I get that holding happens on every play. Most teams don't get away with grabbing defenders' jerseys from behind and stretching them to prevent a hit on their QB.

I think the targeting call on Thomas could have gone against UT. The officials decided it shouldn't but I don't think I could have complained too much if it had gone the other way. That's one. I've seen one still shot that appears to show a UT defender's hand on a Bama player's facemask. No indication if it was pulled or not. That's two. They complained about the PI on UT's last TD drive but I don't really think any reasonable person can deny that the defender was wrapped around Warren and preventing him from making a play on the ball.

Has anyone else seen any other specific play where Bama even possibly got the bad end of a call?

The SEC officials office has a dedicated wing with nothing but tapes from all SEC coaches after Bama games of numerous penalties during their games with Bama where Bama did not receive penalties for obvious fouls that happened right in front of the whistle. Bama has been the benefactor of a soft whistle for 15 years so if those sorry losers want to try and cry about officials then from the rest of the SEC we say STFU.
