In reality, this is quite a significant incident.
I know this thread was started as a way to blast the foe to the South, but this deal makes a significant statement about the state of Alabama Football.
We have played Duke on several occasions and as far as I remember we've never played them AT Duke. I know we've played them at least a half dozen times since the early 70s and every game was in Neyland.
This does speak the the pecking order of just where you stand in the all important world of College Football Etiquette.
I remember the days when Alabama could demand home and away series with the most elite of college football. Oklahoma, Penn St., and then in turn they could demand home and home series with all of the mid-majors or lower rung major conference teams.
As much as Bama fans will hate to admit this, it is a sign of just how far the mighty have fallen.
Another sign is they now pay their basketball coach more then their football coach. Who would have ever imagined that possible as long as the planet turns.
